Egg Mayo and Cress I can work with. M&S do the best one and they also do a vegan version these days.

I’m glad somebody has championed the FF sandwich. It is food of the gods and gets the bronze medal for me.

Silver goes to thinly sliced topside beef, hot with onions on fresh white crusty bread. A glorious thing.

Gold medal. Well there is only one. The king of them all. The bacon sandwich. Plenty of good quality smoked, back bacon, fat trimmed off on fresh, white, crusty, buttered bread. You don’t need anything else. No ketchup, lettuce, mayo, tomato or any of that. Just the purity of the bacon sandwich as you sink your teeth into it. Mmmmm
