Expectations/predictions for tomorrow? 08:14 - Aug 11 with 5107 views | Dubtractor | I'd be happy with a draw I think. Stoke have clearly thrown some cash around, and the goblin knows how to get an effective team at this level. Its going to be a big test for us. Sunderland away, then Stoke, is a tough start to the season. Get through it unbeaten and I'll be feeling optimistic. It's going to take a little while to acclimatise to the Championship after a few years of teams just sitting back and not trying to take the game to us. I'm sure there will be a few bumps in the road, and we'll no doubt tweak things a bit in our approach as the season evolves.

Expectations/predictions for tomorrow? on 08:20 - Aug 11 with 4457 views | BondiBlue | I think we'll win. Bizarrrly, given that we won, i wouldn't be surprised if other teams look at our performance at sunderland and think we can be got at, leaving lots of space for broadhead and chaplin to do their thing.

Expectations/predictions for tomorrow? on 08:21 - Aug 11 with 4443 views | Metal_Hacker | Yep tough one tomorrow and right now I'd take a point...although I said that last weekend We need FPR feeling hostile and loud - pretty sure everyone will be up for this , players and fans Neck stuck out and I'll say 2-1 (Chappers and Hirst)

Expectations/predictions for tomorrow? on 08:34 - Aug 11 with 4397 views | Guthrum | We usually win a load of the first run of games (except when Keane or Hurst are in charge). It's what happens from about November onwards is critical.

Expectations/predictions for tomorrow? on 08:42 - Aug 11 with 4354 views | LankHenners | Think Stoke are very dangerous and it'll be a tough match. Big home crowd has to keep its nerve when, inevitably, it doesn't see the sort of domination right from the off that it's been used to for the past year. We know we can score goals and probably our best (or most useful) quality is when we're on it we look like scoring every time we go forwards. A bit like last week, score draw seems most likely but maybe we'll find something to get a win over the line.

Expectations/predictions for tomorrow? on 08:50 - Aug 11 with 4307 views | Kieran_Knows | Christ, reading some of the comments on this thread you’d think Mick was back in charge ‘wouldn’t get off the bus if offered a point’. 2-1 home win. Hirst and Ladapo the scorers.

Expectations/predictions for tomorrow? on 09:00 - Aug 11 with 4244 views | J2BLUE | I don't think we should be talking about being happy with a point against anyone at home. Who should we fear at home? There are some very good teams but we should go into every home game intending to win it.

Ha. I was very careful to not use the 'take a point now' phrase, precisely for that reason. I think it will be a draw, but I'd def not take that if offered.

Expectations/predictions for tomorrow? on 09:07 - Aug 11 with 4221 views | blueasfook | gonna be a tricky one for sure. they had a 4-1 home win first game, and beat the Baggies 2-1 mid-week in the cup. Both home games though, see how they travel away. Will deffo be a good boost if we can win tomorrow.

Thought luongo's comment that he had to remind some of his teammates that the sunderland game was a great win was interesting. Sounds like they were beating themselves up avout the performance.

Happy probably wasn't the right word. Maybe content would be better. Wouldn't take a draw now, but I won't be disappointed if that's what we get.

Expectations/predictions for tomorrow? on 09:16 - Aug 11 with 4152 views | The_Flashing_Smile | I think it's very difficult to predict an Ipswich score right now. Last Saturday we could have lost easily, or won easily (if Chappers bar bash had gone in or the pen given). Stoke having so many new players adds an extra level of prediction difficulty - will they be fantastic strangers? If I were a betting man I'd steer well clear of this, but to play your game I'll go 3-1 Town. I think Stoke'll score from an individual bit of brilliance, but seeing the chances we created at one of the hardest trips last weekend makes me think we'll create a few again. And I'm an optimist.

Expectations/predictions for tomorrow? on 09:24 - Aug 11 with 4084 views | TRUE_BLUE123 | A very tough game. Stokes midfield of Pearson Laurent and Daniel Johnson (who is so good to watch) is a top midfield at this level imo. Combined with Mcnally, Stevens, Hoever the defence has a bit of everything. Then they have the winger vidigal who got two goals last week but is still a bit of an unknown quantity. The key for us is midfield. Morsy and Luongo need to make sure we don't give Johnson too much time on the ball, because he can pick teams apart if you give him half a chance. But we looked really dangerous going forward vs Sunderland I thought. No reason we cant win.

Expectations/predictions for tomorrow? on 09:32 - Aug 11 with 3997 views | homer_123 | A Stoke supporting client is very pessimistic about their season. Feels they are gambling massively and feels it will either be brilliant or a car crash...he's on the side of car crash. He is expecting us to thump them!

Expectations/predictions for tomorrow? on 10:00 - Aug 11 with 3868 views | SomethingBlue | I'd absolutely take a draw on the back of last weekend, it would make for a very solid start indeed. As one or two others have said, a lot of these games feel like coin tosses at the moment. It's going to be a season of very fine margins and a game like this – at home against a side that will probably be good but not stellar – is a nice early test, a point will be fine.

Expectations/predictions for tomorrow? on 10:13 - Aug 11 with 3770 views | southnorfolkblue | It’s so difficult to know so early in the season when we really know so little (compared to last season) about the opposition, so I wouldn’t be surprised at any outcome. I’d be fairly happy with 4 points from the first 6

Expectations/predictions for tomorrow? on 11:23 - Aug 11 with 3588 views | jp_itfc | Confident of a win, we are a settled side with a lot of momentum. 1st home league game at FPR. They have had a lot of change over the Summer. 3-1 towen
Expectations/predictions for tomorrow? on 12:25 - Aug 11 with 3418 views | monkeymagic | When the fixtures were released my immediate thought was oh hell that’s a tough start but if teams like Sunderland, Stoke and Leeds are going to be up there come the end of the season it is probably best to play them early before they gel. I think not having many changes is an advantage at this stage.
Expectations/predictions for tomorrow? on 12:30 - Aug 11 with 3376 views | Help | A win Stoke only beat Rotherham. Who are one of the teams predicted to go down. First game at home the players and fans will be buzzing and an early goal will set the place on fire. Assuming Stoke come to play football and don't bore us like Bristol did.

Expectations/predictions for tomorrow? on 20:20 - Aug 11 with 2972 views | BigCommon | Pretty much the entire first eleven rested up midweek.Or played minimal minutes.. Well be flying on Saturday. High tempo from the off. Stoke will be 2-0 down before they know what's going on. I fancy a 3-1 win, with Chappers off the mark...
Expectations/predictions for tomorrow? on 20:55 - Aug 11 with 2921 views | quirkie | Stoke fans seem very confident tomorrow in their forum, we are just carrot crunchers with league one players that were lucky against Sunderland, a 4-0 away win mentioned. I'm sure we'll score, looked like we could score anytime we went forward last week so just depends on how much of the ball we'll see. I'm going for a 2-0 win and seeing as I'm currently No. 1 in the Predication league hope I haven't just jinxed it.
