For God sake a impact substitute at the very most people saying rotate with Hirst or instead of Burns need to get a grip not even close .
If we went down the Jackson route as a 9 we would be lucky to get mid table hard work should be a given I understand the transfer window is difficult but we would need two strikers if Hirst out for a period of time.

McKenna seems to think differently. So far Jackson has yielded 3 goals and as many points.

Making us all look stupid.

Cool. We won the league years ago so we are now champions every season by that logic.

We scored three goals at home playing with Jackson as a 9 yesterday against one of the best sides in the league. He had a hand in two of the goals. I'm not sure what you're on about to be honest.

Bit like your posting then.

Jackson was excellent yesterday, he offers and option to McKenna that other forwards don't and thus I don't think he will be going anywhere.

No idea why you seem to think he will be the regular starter, McKenna will play whomever he thinks suits the opposition.

McKenna likes him, that’s enough for me.

You can also see how much he’s improved under KM.

You’re getting so boring with this. It seems many coaches, fans, current and ex players and the best manager we have had in over 20 years disagrees with you.

I’m gonna go ahead and go with their opinion. It must REALLY bug you that he had 2 assists yesterday and played well.

Jackson only started because Hirst was out I think we can all agree on but as a late sub when opposition defences are getting tired Jackson is a very handy player to have.

It’s clear Hirst is first choice number 9 and I don’t think anybody is suggesting Jackson has overtaken him. Feel free to point me in the right direction if I’m wrong.

Jackson had one of his better games in a town shirt yesterday.

Does it make you feel better to needlessly slag off one of our players who had a good game yesterday?

This isn't the 1980's. A No. 9 doesn't need to have teeth missing and cut his head open every game going in hard on centre-backs, goalkeepers and goal furniture!

A No. 9 in our system needs to pull defences around and... oh, why bother.

There is no love in. He played well yesterday so people have rightly praised his performance, it's not difficult.

Jackson offers a different option and KM will use him when he sees fit, knowing that he will always give 100% and do a job for the team. I'm not sure why he causes such division among our fan base, it seems pretty clear to me what he offers and what his role is within the squad.

Jackson has done very well this season , ok parts of his game could be better but you can say that about every player . KM likes him and Mogga did try and sign him last season . Until we can get better in he will keep getting game time and rightly so .

I’d guessed Joe Jordan!

Crappy pitches, two footed tackles, terracing, pay on the gate, straight through the back of the centre forward just to let him know you’re around.

Do you not find it interesting that KM has stated clearly that he believes Jackson is actually better suited to the Championship, he's got qualities that can be better utilised at this level.

Impact substitute does him (and others for that matter) a huge disservice. The way KM has us playing, the effort and energy we expel, it's not impact subs at all - he looks for continuation in our play when he brings players on.

On Jackson personally, I really do not see why people have an issue with him. This is a player that, when he joined, was consistently played out of position in a poor team - yet never once shirked his duties, contributed with many assists (like yesterday) and goals from that position.

Whilst I would not say I'd choose him ahead of Hirst, Jackson continues to prove his worth as a fully fledged player, not a bit part player nor impact sub.

Here is a player who KM has chosen to play over Ladapo (yesterday), he provides an excellent alternative to Burns.

This from Phil's report should put an end to any debate about Jackson.

McKenna was delighted with Kayden Jackson’s performance in the former Leicester man’s absence.

“I thought he was excellent,” he said. “I’ve said it so many times, I’ve said it since I first arrived that I thought Kayden could be an asset to the football club because of the qualities that he has at the higher level will translate better possibly than the level we were playing at.

“He showed his work off the ball, he showed his ability to threaten space whenever we have the ball and I thought he was a real handful and a constant outlet and contributed well to the goals and some other chances that we had as well.”

Imagine being this confidently wrong. This is how we end up with Brexits, Tory governments and five year contracts for Paul Lamberts.
