Got a mate who Is a palace fan and he asked me about Mings, coz warnock is supposedly going to bid 10 million in Jan. Would perhaps be able to include Jonniesta in any deal, he doesn't think Jonny will play for palace again. Mings would also have more of a chance at playing first team footy at palace

If anything we must surely be looking to bring in one or two new players in January. Can't afford to lose any of our key players if we wish to maintain a realistic promotion challenge. Burnley held on to their top players last January and spent a very modest amount, which clinched promotion. ME has to learn from that.

If Luke Shaw was worth 28 million,I would think Ty Mings must be worth 40 to 50 because soon he will be a centre back playing for England at the rate he has progressed it won,t be long.

They can speculate all they like ME will not sell Mings in January. It makes no business sense at all.

Although different to the great Kevin Beattie this lad reminds me so much of our greatest ever player. Like Beattie in his early days still likely to make mistakes but without him the side appears to be missing two players.
I hope we dont sell him before he plays for us in the premiership but football has changed a lot since Bobby Robson managed the best side never to win the top league

Wouldn't consider selling him in January. Maybe if we don't go up (like that is going to happen), then let the prem clubs have a bidding war in the summer. Must make sure of a sell on clause, this lad is going to be real class if he keeps progressing the way he is.

I think youll find that had burnley received a large offer for ings(say £8-10 mill), theyd have accepted it. no club of the size of burnley or ourselves could really reject that kind of offer. I also believe that even if we did accept a bid that he would remain here on loan up to the end of the season and that possibly a loan may be arranged at that point for next season also until such time that hes better prepared for premier league football.

Jonny Parr is a left back isn't he? I wouldn't mind him moving to his natural position with the right money, as long as it's invested in midfield creative position. Chambers is probably good enough RB to get us up and St. Ledger or Smith would have to step up. $8m plus 10% sell on clause would work.

If you look at the history of players who leave Ipswich to go onto so called better careers, not many make that much of a success of things. Mick and the board have now managed to get the club back into the mould of the days of the Cobblds. A family club where everyone looks out for one another. It shows so much in the team spirit shown on Saturday.
For Mings to leave now, although he may get a massive, massive pay rise. Would he play every week, would he enjoy sitting around doing nothing, but playing reserve team football. I believe he could step up but he is still raw and nowhere the finished article yet. Keep him, tell Wenger to jog on, and let's build on what we've got and get back to the promised land.

Mings is going no where in January if we are still in top 2! Even top 6 (which is highly likely) I dont think ME would entertain it. If we want to get to PL and we have a great shot this year, selling Mings would seriously put our promotion chances at serious risk. Promotion would mean serious $$ for ME and the club, why deal in Jan when come summer time we will know exactly where we are! If we sell Ty in Summer we still get 8-10mil, if we are in PL we get stupid money and can keep Ty!

Whatever the truth of this one report today, it's clear theres some truth in the fact that clubs are watching Mings.

You can debate selling him til the cows come home. Those (I suspect younger) fans who say we resist selling at all costs might look up how we did after selling Tarricco and Dyer about 15 years ago.

I for one would like him to ring up Richard wright and Connor wickhan to ask how hard it is when you get that big move. I'm sure Mings' dad is giving him good advice already!
