buying a 'son' birthday card. He'd have been 4 tomorrow, and doesn't get any easier, but I still like to recognise it by taking a card and some flowers. Sorry.
Don't apologise, I feel for you, I hope you have a good day tomorrow, well as good as you can.
I think it's a lovely thing to do.
No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

Thank you. KJ isn't around, as she's only just got back from holiday with her mum and Yasmin today, but after they had delays and diversions, she's stayed in the midlands at her mums, so it will be just me going on my own. Just me, and him.

Not aware of the background, but stay strong fella.
...and you're right to recognise his birthday.
Good luck with it all.
Thanks to you all. It is appreciated.
Background is simply our son was born sleeping, 4 years ago tomorrow. I only mentioned it as I've shared moments on here about it along the way occasionally, and found the TWTD family to be very supportive in what can be tough moments - so feel more able to put things like this on here than would do on Facebook, for example
Can't imagine the pain that must have come with that Hoppy.
Never apologise for it though. This place is always here for you in whatever small way it can be.
Pronouns: He/Him/His.
"Imagine being a heterosexual white male in Britain at this moment. How bad is that. Everything you say is racist, everything you say is homophobic. The Woke community have really f****d this country."

Glad you feel this is a place where you can share and have found it supportive, as it should be. Thinking of you both.

Thanks. I found some blue and white flowers to take too, which I'm sure he'd approve of - as with Yasmin before him, he wouldn't have had a lot of choice in knowing the right colours!
Never knew this, Hoppster. Have you heard the song June by IDLES? It's along the same lines... and in fact moved me to paint about it. I've not experienced anything like that myself, although I have a mate who has.
Chin up fella, I will have that drink with you at some point.
This will possibly be upsetting for some, so don't click if so, but here's the song. I think it's beautiful.
Much love to you and your family, hoppy. I've had family and friends go through similar and it's heartbreaking. Credit to you for marking his birthday and spending it with him.
Sorry for your loss. It’s the sort of grief that is so often played down and unrecognised but is as hard as losing any child. For what it’s worth I think it’s great what you’re doing - definitely not something you need to apologise for - I’ll have you and him in mind tomorrow. AB
