Heck, everyone has done stuff and got away with it/got caught. All part of chewing on life’s gristle...
The only time I got seriously annoyed about it was getting a speeding ticket in Barcelona. The lights were on (it’s law to have them on in tunnels and there are loads of them) and I was so careful to be within the speed limit and my mate was keeping an eye on the signs and reminding. But the good ole corrupt Spanish police know a hire car when they see one and we wound up getting the fine debited by the hire company. There is basically zip you can do about it. To me they are worse, like people with older children who park in the baby spaces at the supermarket - they know how much effort it is but still do it anyway, a special type of selfish |  |
