Bloke's only been in the job a fortnight, plenty of time for that to change.

I suspect that have a clueles, rudderless government blindly following their bigotted and already discredited mantra even though it kills thousands of their own citizens might eventually suffer a reversal at the polls.... time will tell.

Nah. Nothing a few lies and smear campaigns can't brush over ahead of the next election.

Two things:

1) There's no indication that Starmer is as ignorant of the need for progressive change as Blair was/is.
2) There's no indication that Starmer is a slightly dangerous religious type who will go a bit Old Testament with his proselytizing and smiting of the infidel.

Let's revisit that as and when you have a point.

Ah, George Galloway. A man with a man nearly as much political credibility as Godfrey Bloom, Nick Clegg, Priti Patel or Dianne Abbot.

Starmer is playing a clever game already, I think he is a clone of Tony Blair. He is going to support the government at present and when he thinks the time is right he's going to completely change tact.

On another Blair similarity I don't think Murdoch is keen on the Johnson / Cummings thing and will at some point switch sides to Starmer like he did with Blair over Major.

It's nailed on. Starmer will win the next election and it will be The Sun Wot Dun It.

Starmer was involved in legal proceedings against News International with regards to phone hacking and have published articles calling him "out of touch" and a "stone called loser" in recent months. No way The Sun are going to be backing him.

30% in the polls.

Your lot have had ideal polling conditions... The Tories had been the only party with a leader until 2 weeks ago and governments always poll well in a crisis. Additionally, Starmer's election was barely newsworthy among all the virus updates and polls have suggested that over half of the population is yet to make their mind up on him.

Not saying we'll storm to victory but I wouldn't get so complacent if I were you.

I wasn't aware of him before his appointment but from what I've seen he's impressed. His ding dong with Geoffrey Cox is a good watch, he seems a very competent performer.

Wold have to agree. I have defended this Government so far, but they really are making a pigs ear of it now. PPE shouldn't be this difficult to get hold of. I am not saying Corbyn would have done a better job, but this Government is proving it isn't up to the job.
