No holidays abroad really is a kick in the balls 08:55 - Mar 25 with 19895 viewsgtsb1966

I wasn't too disappointed last year but this year i feel a bit deflated by the whole thing if I'm being honest. Usually go with a few mates for a week and then have another quiet week away to relax. Obviously needs must and all that but for some reason it has really peed me off. Anyway else feel the same.

Have fun on that plane breathing in re-cycled aerosol droplets. Not for me though.

Yeah let's get some true British coach holidays going instead. Less foreigners involved so no virus

Right so why is it different to holiday here than somewhere else if the country is deemed safe? Hotels and restaurants in England have people in them too

I know someone who flew out to Ibiza a week or so ago. Is blatantly on holiday - judging by his pics on Facebook- and wasn’t challenged at the airport when he checked in. Not sure what he actually said his reasons for travel was though.

Who mentioned coach holidays? That's for bus vvankers!
No - I'll be on my Devon campsite, with reduced capacity, soaking up the English sun and cider. Lovely.

I love a spot of camping. Parents just bought a new motorhome though so the tent is currently a bit redundant

I also love 2 weeks in a villa in crete with olive groves all around us and beautiful tavernas nearby

It really shouldn't be either or

I'm due to go to NY in December, I'm kinda hopeful on this, as I read yesterday that the UK/US are looking at opening up travel corridors in June, basically travel corridors will be in place for countries that haven't made a clusterf*** on the vaccine rollout.

I'm expecting a UK / US travel corridor too. They're going to be well ahead of us with their vaccine programme (they're doing 2nd doses shortly after 1st, so have an impressive number of people fully vaxed already). If I can't go to Europe, where I normally spend 8-10 weeks over the course of a year, I'm happy to fulfil a long-term ambition to take a month or so to traipse overland from Vancouver to California. Stopping off long enough in Portland to risk serious live damage from their surfeit of craft beer breweries.

Most of us have our health, and that's most important. Always nice to get away but some are treating it like they've lost a kid by not going (not you, btw) - chillax, plenty of time to go away and much of this beautiful country to enjoy in the meantime :)

Pah! More important to shout Ingurland, Ingurland, Ingurland at foriners before throwing up over their shoes, if you ask me.

Yes please, the one in Cyrillic rather than the hieroglyphs one. But I would ask you to refrain from the Atum's gift to the Universe episode on the Nile part of the property tour on this occasion...

First of all they wont be, secondly it wont mean it's not transmitted and you wont get ill

Apart from those 3 things, nothing

Children are not going to be vaccinated

it reduces transmission by 30% that's all

You are arguing with nothing to back it up

so you don't actually have any facts then, just as I said.....you believe that anyone vaccinated can't transmit it at all or not get ill or die then?

When you say facts are you discounting the results of scientific research communicated by experts in the field?

The risk will be brought to a level that can be lived with and we will carry on, just like with flu

And then we will get on with great holidays and having fun
