It doesn’t make sense to take up options on Donacien and Jackson to receive fees but then release Dobra when he’s contracted and Brighton were sniffing around him last summer. |  |

Unless you're a global brand with a social media account handled by PR professionals, I really do not see why any sportsperson would want to have a public social media profile and engage with strangers online.
I genuinely don't see an upside. People seem to think that they have a right to have access to people who are in the public eye, including the right to impotently abuse them. They don't. [Post edited 10 May 2021 18:03]

I imagine there are Social Media clauses within modern football contracts arranged nowadays, it could even be linked to a new contract offer
