Is it though?? (side note I would never boo it and I don't care if they do it or not) but I don't see the point in it before every game I think it would have more of an impact if they had one weekend for it (like Nov 11th for poppy to remember our fallen hero's) I think some that boo are racist others don't agree with the BLM movement as seen as political so have a weekend set aside for equality where every one makes a stand against all hate get the kick it out and the rainbow laces and any others all together and sort out the best way to do it |

You know why the booing would stop though right? Because no sensitive feelings would be hurt and it would be easy to ignore.
The players should double down on this. It's upsetting all the right people and if in the process they get a few people to actually engage their brains, well then, good. The racist simpletons booing are probably lost to decency, but there's a younger generation who need to be brought up with a sense of empathy and solidarity with people less fortunate than themselves. | |

We are both Ipswich fans. One of the best Ipswich strikers since Paul Mariner (the legend you take as your avatar) Dalian Atkinson, died when two police officers visited his home when he was having a Mental Health episode. The Court heard that one of the Police Officers kicked him in the head so hard that the imprint from his boot laces could be seen on Dalian's head after he died.
It took YEARS for that to come out. The Police didn't reveal that. Early briefing to journalists was all about how the taser had caused organ failure because of pre-existing health conditions.
Police brutality. The death of a Black man. Cover up.
If Paul Mariner had had the mental health episode then:
a) would the police have handled it differently?
b) if they hadn't, would they have been able to cover up what happened?
and
c) would we all care more when the truth came out?
