This isn't about me. 19:57 - Nov 21 with 3533 viewsOldboy

I was asked today how many Ipswich games I have been to. I genuinely don't know. I have never kept count. As a guess, I tend to go to around 35 games a season. Mid week away games can be difficult. Taking an average of 30 games would give me 1020 games attended. Like I say, this isn't about me.
I am sure there are some amongst us who keep count and was wondering who is top dog.
I do not expect to be Premier League, more likely top half Championship.
Who is our superfan. Don't be bashful.

I'm in non-league. I think my total is 20 - down to a combination of age and location.

A friend of mine has kept a 'ledger' of every game he's ever been to since he was a kid - he's a Tranmere fan but it also covers non league, holiday games and even park football. The early ones are school exercise books with teams, goalscorers, attendances and possibly the weather all handwritten. As he gets older it's just match details, but it's a thing of beauty and should be left to a museum.

I’d say between 600 and 750 for me, not bad for my age but know plenty have done plenty more

ITFC_Forever has a spreadsheet of all his games and think he’s at 1000 or so, One super fan completed 1000 in a row just prior to covid break

I genuinely have absolutely no idea. I couldn't even be sure how many seasons I had a season ticket for. Some seasons I went to most midweek home matches. Some seasons I went to all the away games nearish to Nottingham. No idea overall.

I have no idea how many games I've been to but had a season ticket for about ten years and used to go to 5-6 away games a season so I'd guess it's somewhere around the 400 mark

My numbers obviously aren’t increasing anytime soon but I would guess around 450 games total, and been to 40+ of the 92 watching us.

Well there are 31 home games in European football for a start.

I will have a think about approximately how many games I might have been to but I have no idea exactly how many.

Probably about 1,250..... on 22:06 - Nov 21 with 2527 viewsBloots

....Town games.

But it's difficult to be exact.

31 years since my first season ticket, plus probably about 15 away matches a season on average.

Add in games as a kid, plus cup games, etc, etc.

Had a season out due to "indiscretions"

Could be more, could be less.

I would have been to 29 of those (all bar the first two) plus a few of the away ones. I would guess my total would be something just over the 1000 mark.

I’m probably less than 50 for similar reasons.

Happy to be beating somebody though

I spent the time working this out during the first lockdown (and I've only added one since then). Since I'd been to practically every home game since 2010, looking through my old programmes it was easier to pick out which games I'd missed as I could usually remember the specific reason for my absence. I've been to 221 Ipswich matches, exactly 100 of which were Ipswich wins (99 at home and 1 at the AMEX).

I survived Ipswich 0-0 Burton

What a great question; here's my estimate:

1980 - 92 (6-18 years old): Probably 20 games a year = 240

1992 - 96 (Student in Leeds): Probably 3 away games a year (I played football for Uni so was often playing on a Saturday), 2 home games in July/August before Uni started, 2 home games at Christmas/new year; 1 home game at Easter = 32

1997 (Postgrad in Lancaster): None, too busy studying

1998 - 2003 (Living in West London): 12 games a year = 72

2004-2006 (Living back in Suffolk and before first kid arrived - had a season ticket) = 22 games a season = 66

2007 - 2013 (Living in Essex, two kids and working away from home a lot) = 10 games a season = 70

2014 onwards - living in Australia = 1 game when we visited family in 2017.

So, roughly 425-450 games in total. Wish it was more.

This is an excellent question. I really haven’t a clue, having never kept a track. Being decrepit, I have seen them play over very many years, up until the last couple (my dad is unable to go now and commitments/distance make going not an option at the moment). I had a season ticket for 23 years so that bit is easy to estimate; it’s the years before that which are not.

I’d say a rough guess for me is 750. Your question will have me going through the internet for each season to try and do a better count. Truly sad, but it has to be done!

Er no, I’m certainly no superfan- I’d wager there a good few in your league and more!

I honestly don't know, it could be anywhere from about 200 - 400, it may even be more than that

Everyone's thinking league games but a lot of cup games of various forms, will get discounted and even friendlies, reserve matches etc etc

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

I first starting going fairly regularly in 06/07 when I moved to the area and I got my first ST in 07/08, and would go to a handful of away games a season. I started keeping count of games I'd attended back at the start of 09/10. Up until Covid I had been to 505 out of the 529 (I think) since then.

This season I've only missed 1 game in all competitions. Oldham was the 68th ground out of the current 92 I've been to, I've seen Ipswich at 67 of the 68, London Stadium being the only one I've been to, but not seen us.

Overall, I'd say I'm at about 600 Town games. I'm 31. What a waste of a life.

I’m estimating 725-775 itfc games since 1987/88 season. Some great seasons, some excellent football, some dark days but both football and feel around the club currently has me looking back to early Burley era. Steps forward and back, fans not always happy with results, it takes time build a club and successful team.

Difficult to be totally accurate but started regular attendance in 1970 and have estimated between 1,000 to 1,100.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

from age of 11-20 every home game (missed a handful)
nearly every away game in first prem season, about 12 the following....
another 10/12 aways when in the playoff years.

then from 23-now every home game, barring a handful.
a load of aways chucked in there....

must be in the 500-600 bracket id think

*had i behaved myself id have had 3 more seasons to add from age of 20-23

Absolutely no idea. 8 or 9 years a regular when living in Ippo and then another 30 odd years of anywhere between 2-3 or 10-12 a season since.

I'm around 600, and never lived closer than 2 hours to Portman Road... so think I'm just in the European places, and will probably win a cup this year.

Must be somewhere between 350 and 400 for me I think, that's a bit of a fag packet calculation as I've not really kept track.
