I may seem a bit rabid tonight... but to be clear 23:57 - Dec 7 with 3926 viewsunstableblue

We took two neutrals in our group to the Valley tonight

Two non blue goggled freaks, unlike like us

And after the game they were SCATHING

"what a load of sh!t"

And do you know what? - Town really really were

It was embarrassing - how BAD we were tonight

No one should be spending money on that level of football quality

It was sh!t under Mick because it was so under entertaining.... but we've entered a space where we can barely pass....

DARK DARK TIMES

It was always the players, always, couldn’t you see that??

Worst Town performance since Micks last season.

One of the key runs of fixtures and we sack the manager.

NO WAY WE WOULD HAVE BEEN THAT BAD WITH COOK IN CHARGE!!!

For context, you weren't rabid. You were downright nasty.

Simple question - would we have played like that? and lost like that with Cook still in charge?

In all honesty - I don't care what you really said about tonight's game or the performance. You were being abusive toward people, even after a couple of us tried to say you were doing a Bluefish.

Have some respect, you're not the only fan that hurts right now.

If we can't string a pass together surely Cook has to take some of that blame? I'm sure we would have had more chance with him tonight but the hope if that we take one step back to take several forward under a new manager. I understand the scepticism. We do seem to be cursed.

Truly impaired.

Quite possibly yes.

Very true. Makes you wonder if we should go with a feelgood appointment until the end of the season. One last run for Burley?

Just for peace of mind, you aren’t wrong. One of the worst performances ever. Absolutely dire. We were never going to have any part in the game, forget scoring. Nothing at all.

I think we might have optimistically thought about a manager bounce. Forget it, we are done this season. Fallen too far down.

no way....

its mental to think we have an entire new squad with no bottle about them, just like the last lot..... in that regard do they need a warnock rocket up arse?

however, warnock gets only until the end of the season, then we need to build again.

some of these bigger named players would turn noses up at Manning etc

be funny for a john terry to rock up tho, see our fans lose their sht

It’s so weird how at every key game you happen to have taken at least one neutral friend with you who gives you a full unvarnished opinion.

You don't know that, it's purely speculative. It was a performance very much along the trajectory of our recent performances. Toothless up front, clueless in possession, a midfield being walked through at times. I'm not sure why you think it would have been so much different under Cook.

Some of our fans are hilarious. On the one hand it's all been "patience, people, we need a lot more patience" and then from the same crew it's now "OMG sacking Cook hasn't immediately improved us AND THE WORLD IS LITERALLY GOING TO END".

Have a lie down, mate.

We need a future, not the past.

I think people failed to realise just how rotten to the core this club is. For years it’s had to be one of the worst run in the country. The rotten team has and is a reflection of a rotten club. This is going to take a while to change on and off the field. The work being done off the field will bear dividends, but not today or tomorrow.

If the work done on the field is done properly, it too will bear dividends. It hasn’t been. I suspect Cook was the wrong person for the job, which is why it’s gone badly. They clearly made a mistake in not removing him in May. But this is in the past.

They must find the person they want for the future and back him. It can be Pep, Klopp, Sooty or Tinitin. We just need him in place this week or next. I hope that somebody is lined up. If not, this is Ashton’s first mistake.

You mean he might lie a lot and take his opinions from the last blogs and puff pieces floating around opposition managers and palm them off as his own? Surely not.

Let’s say you are right and that’s the worst performance of the season. What does that prove? Does the notorious home defeat to Sheffield Weds under Chris Hutchings prove that Jewell should have continued? Of course not.
