Front 3 tonight.... 08:28 - Feb 22 with 3064 views | itfcjoe | .....Feel like Jackson has to stay in, but maybe we see Bonne in for Pigott. Then maybe Celina for Aluko as well. Feels impossible to guess though

Front 3 tonight.... on 08:32 - Feb 22 with 3022 views | SheffordBlue | Some of it will depend on what the sports science data says on Jackson. He ran himself into the ground on a very heavy pitch on Saturday. Could be an impact sub on 60-70 minutes if his recovery doesn't let him start.

As in defensively? Because I’m not sure he added much from an attacking perspective

yeah defensively, I just think in this league when you have that available it's a must, it worked Saturday and whilst I appreciate they lost the player with the massive long throw, they do apparently still have a thrower and pay for set pieces like Burton, so whilst I get people have issues with Pig compared to Bonne, for me we need Pig to give us solidarity at the back during those set pieces

Guess it all comes down to where KMc identifies a weakness in them, if he feels KJs raw pace will fck them up then he starts… If we need to pick our way through, celina and Chaplin… Like you say, good options!

Front 3 tonight.... on 09:26 - Feb 22 with 2702 views | Zx1988 | What I've taken from the interviews over the last couple of days, is how well the players would appear to have bought in to KMc's way of doing things. It would be good to see KJ start again off the back of Saturday's performance, but can also see that he might not start if KMc deems that Cheltenham requires a different set of tactics/players in order to break them down. If it's the latter, I wouldn't expect KJ to be too disheartened, knowing that any such decision would be 100% tactical rather than anything against him.

This is it really. Previous performance almost redundant. All about the next opposition's weaknesses.

Presumably uneasy against directness and physicality too, given they shipped 5 to Wycombe. Might point to Norwood and Pigott getting stuck into them. Who knows, one thing is for sure that we do have very good options in that area. Personally, I would be tempted to go with Norwood and Jackson, it would be good to reward KJ with another start and he must be brimming with confidence. They know each others' game too. Celina in behind them, keep Aluko fresh for Saturday.

Front 3 tonight.... on 09:36 - Feb 22 with 2608 views | NthQldITFC | I feel we've got three in Celina, Chaplin and Aluko, who have been performing consistently well to very well. All of those three are better in more of a supporting 'number 10' role. Of the others I think you would class Bonne, Pigott and Norwood as more traditional 'number 9s' and Jackson as a bit of a hybrid player. None of the 9s are currently playing well as a target or pivot for the 10s to play off. Fortunately we have enough quality in those 10s and now hopefully Jackson, and crucially an excellent dynamic manager to make something work up front in most games. What would make this team outstanding now (in Div 3 that is, and hopefully the play offs) would be to have at least one number 9 who can act as a hold up player to bring others in, AND as a 'big' target man to get on the end of crosses. Whilst I think we can probably do enough to get to the play-offs without that target man, if we had that option we would be able to implement almost any kind of attacking strategy possible in games. To that end, I desperately want to see either Bonne or Pigott doing that job. I don't think it's Norwood's forte, although he can be an effective player from the bench. Pigott seems to have some of the attributes to do this, but not sure he's going to be able to produce this season. Bonne has done it, but now seems to be suffering from pressure. Perhaps Jackson producing could take the pressure off Bonne a bit? So I'm going for a front three of Bonne up top with Jackson playing freely as a roving threat, and one of the 10s in behind. I'd love to see Bonne taking the ball, laying it off to Aluko who feeds Jackson down the channels and knocks great crosses in for Bonne to attack for his hat-trick tonight!

Yep that looks a good attacking setup for this one. Defensively it's interesting to note that a couple of Cheltenham's goals on Saturday came from really bad errors by Wycombe and the wind appeared a big factor in at least one. They are clearly no mugs but don't think they are as potent going forward as that game makes out.

Front 3 tonight.... on 10:12 - Feb 22 with 2442 views | BloomBlue | Agree you have to leave Jackson in, as for the others I think he'll twist again. I think his aim is to keep twisting until one of them hits form in terms of scoring goals and then he'll stick with that pair until their form drops. Similar with the defence, all playing well so leave as is unless form dips for one of them (or injured)

As others have said ,I think McKenna makes his selections more on what weaknesses in the opposition that can be exploited than on the current form of our front three.

Front 3 tonight.... on 11:19 - Feb 22 with 2148 views | C_Jam_Blue | Hard to choose but watching the video of the 5-5 with Wycombe, Cheltenham's back line looked short of pace so fitness permitting, a confident Jackson could do well. I would like to see Bonne, if only because he needs to atone for that terrible miss at their place. Happy to see Chaplin, Aluko or Celina in there. Nice that we have so many options.
