Strange to admit but hadn't even thought about that. Portman Road is a good looking ground anyway, but doing away with that clutter and smartening that area up is going to make it shine even more. I hope we can look forward to similar with the Portman Road car park if and when the Cobbold gets redeveloped.
Love Portman Road but hand on heart can't say it's a good looking ground. Love the place inside and from ground level it's decent around the place since the new owners spruced it up. Those old grey roofs look an absolute state imo from the air.

I did wonder if they might put up a kind of “ front door” in front of the SAR as an official frontage to the stadium . Also where is the remembrance garden going to be?

Think it was going to be on the curve between the turnstiles to the sir AR stand on portman road to behind the AR Stand.
Dalian Atkinson completing his hat trick against Middlesborough.
Wasn't Paul Mariners goal against Liverpool Churchmans end.... and the winning goal against Real Madrid loosely credited to Mick Mills.... Claphams penalty v Bolton too

Mich D'Avray's header against Liverpool? The first goal I can just about remember seeing live.

Not being an Ipswich resident, it seems the former Staples has completely gone now judging from this video uploaded 2 days ago. Do Town now own the carpark infront of the building right up against the public footpath? If so, I guess they'll be building outer walls since that would give entrance to the SAR side of the stadium.

I’d like to see some big 🤬-off blue gates with IPSWICH TOWN - PRIDE OF ANGLIA emblazoned on them too

Yes I think so.
It seems they have a layer of plastic board which can retain water, another layer for the under soil pipes, then what you’re seeing there is the quick draining layer. I assume they’ll be a final top soil to which they’ll seed, and then they stitch the synthetic fibres in. I think they stitch prior to natural grass growth… well that is what is happening at Oldham who have a similar pitch going in.

Does that sound right anyone? No idea really
There are various ways of doing it. I've seen some videos where they've seeded then stiched after. But also some where they've stiched first and then seeded after.

Never fails to amaze me how many people ignore CAA regulations with drones and then post all the evidence for the authorities to see.
Drones of over 250g have a no fly zone of 150m around commercial properties, at his closest here, he's about 10m from the ground and flies directly above the Travel Lodge and the Council.
