Not aimed at you, but a lot of people get hung up on him playing in League 2. Out of our current first teamers, all of the below have played in League 2..
Hladky Burgess Edmundson Clarke Morsy Burns Harness Chaplin Jackson
Most of which were all at similar ages to Al-Hamadi at the time.
You can add Woolf to that list, albeit on loan. To excel at any level isn't easy at such a young age, he's been very good for a year and a half now. As others have said, he's probably going to be one of two coming in and he'll be a good option to have off the bench or for particular games where his attributes might be well suited.
Sort of signing were Brighton/Brentford would be looking to make were they in our position.
Looks calm and composed in front of goal, a skill which if you have it can be easily applied across different levels of football... Toney, Watkins, Vardy et al
Genuinely excited about this. Got to take some risks in our position as the lesser spotted 'experienced championship striker' does not grow on trees and sometimes looking down can be the best route up.
Agree, quick, composed ,decent first touch and looks like he can finish, 21 too so has bags of time to improve further, if Posh have been sniffing around then you can bet your bottom dollar he has something given their incredible recruitment of lower league talent over the years..
I cannot believe this is the signing our people think will fire us to the Premier league.
I get the whole this player was in the lower leagues until X but this guy isn't only moving up two leagues, he needs to learn how we play (im assuming wimbledon djnt play our tyle?). We've seen with even players like Chaplin how little time he gets in this league compared to League one.
We can't be expecting this young striker to get us up?

Who's to say though we don't sign him and keep him where he is for this season.
We might have the 'now' striker in sights and are just shopping for future too. Probably not but its not out the question
Smacks more of Ahadme and Camera more than of Hirst and Broadhead, lets be honest.
PR signing, keep the fans happy as we have failed to meet our targets, Jackson will be the starter, he will play a bit part and probably loaned to a League One side next season.
If this what we're now going for we probably should have stuck with Ladapo, who at least has some record in League One and 13 Championship goals to his name between us and Rotherham. We need a couple of established Championship strikers, if they are too expensive then lets not waste resources on gambles. Scarlett is another example of that, a decent player, but definitely needed another season in League One. Some of us were derided at the time for saying that. This guy will absolutely need some more development to be of any use to us, League Two is dire.
I was hoping we were going to pull off a couple of deals to get us over the line this season, this kind of player is one that might benefit us in 2 years, and won't do much for our promotion hopes this season. I hope I am wrong, but not feeling good about that at all. Seems like a barrel scraping job to save face to me.

In 2012 a championship side bought a 25-year-old striker playing non-league football. Less than 2 years later they were promoted and 2 years after that they were Premier League champions.
In that Premier League winning season their striker scored 24 league goals, was voted Premier League Player of the Season and FWA Footballer of the Year and had already established himself as an England player.
I'd have loved to read some of the comments on the FoxesTallk forum 12 years ago when Leicester splashed out a million on Jamie Vardy at Fleetwood.
If Blackburn eventually buckle then you'd imagine Gallagher + Al Hamadi will fit within our budget? I believe you said previously you'd heard Nixon's £3m and £15k a week wage wasn't far off if a touch light? Al Hamadi will be on modest wages and is perhaps the type of profile you can give a 4 year deal in order to spread the fee for FFP.

I wouldn't have thought that would be beyond us. Main issue is Blackburn being prepared to sell at the moment. I think we could probably agree a fee, although would need to increase what's previously been on the table.
A good player, but certainly a big step up from League 2 football to Championship - to come straight in and be the main man.
I like the player, a real scorer. At Just 21 years old, I think long term would prove to be a really shrewd signing - would just like a more proven and experienced striker to come in with him.
Ali Al-Hamadi + 1 more - would be absolutely delighted with that.
I would say to those saying it's too big a step up from League 2 to top of the Championship, that perhaps while the role he'd be playing here is demanding in terms of physicality and stamina (which he looks great for by the way), it's not actually the most technical of roles in terms of ball work.
This guy looks like he can chase and harry defenders, and impose himself physically 'shoulder-to-shoulder' and also has the pace to break away and finish sometimes. If you look at George Hirst, his touch isn't always the best, he doesn't often skin defenders with tricky feet and he's not a prolific goalscorer. What he does brilliantly is integrate with the supporting strikers and close down and bully defenders. I think Al-Hamadi looks capable of that. And dare I say, he looks a better finisher and very calm on the ball too.
It's very much a 'yes' from me.
Edit: I'd add that the role require footballing intelligence and tactical awareness, which might be more difficult to judge without KMc working with him.
Don’t even read your posts, I just downvote them as I know that’s what they deserve.
Sometimes it's fun to read the message and guess the poster I thought this was Elephant But I totally understand not wanting to read some of Canery posters poison and bile.

Notable from that reel is the intelligence shown. He backs away and gets out of the way of team mates when he should, provides another option. Shows some real awareness.
I have a really good feeling about this one. Really good....

Whilst I agree with your broader point, none of those players would have been useful to us and what we need at the age of 21.

!00%.
Frankly I couldn't give a stuff if you play for Leicester or Forest Green. If you are a talented footballer you are a talented footballer. The most important thing for football players is environment and we are lucky to have one of the very best in England to come and develop as a footballer. We hear it with Hirst and Chaplin, "average championship players, wont score goals at this level" but they are playing in an environment that suits them. So to the fans that worry about a player being from league two. Think about the environment they are coming in to. McKenna will have signed them for a reason, he thinks they can thrive here. The talent that Al Hamadi has, I think he's a gem. Im sure he would thrive here as well.
