It's interesting, you tend to post one-liners in an attempt to trigger people on here but I did have a look at another teams forum a few weeks back before a match and you were posting lengthy posts with some analysis.

All very odd.

Such a stupid comment. Still amazes me that (presumably) fully grown adults look at football, signings, results etc and come out with sh*te like this. Was Vardy a championship level striker when he left Fleetwood?

Probably to be expected from a non-league level poster.

Anyone remember this interview with MA on EADT in Nov last year?

https://www.eadt.co.uk/sport/23922181.ipswich-town-mark-ashton-january-transfer-

Just like last summer, MA does know a good waffle but once again no-one can see where the "firepower" is.

Sorry, but Al-Hamadi, Marvin Johnson et al is hardly the answer for a push to the Prem. Neither are they "brave and bold" signings for a team at the top of the Championship.

Shouldn't we be looking at players commensurate with our league position or at least the league we are in? The quality of players we are linked to now is even poorer than Morsy, Luongo, Davis, Broadhead et al all of which we signed in League One.

MA should talk less and just show the results.

That's fine, because:

Burns isn't Championship class.
Broady is injury prone.
Can't believe we didn't sell Harness in the summer.
Chappers has never done it higher than League One.
Woolfie is lazy.

And yet, here they all are, 2nd in the Championship.

Trust in McKenna - he knows exactly what we need.

Well, we managed to sign the bulk of our starting XI in League One under the more onerous SCMP. And how are teams such as Hull with no parachute payments able to attract and afford players (even on loan) such as Carvalho?

If we can only afford to shop in Poundland then say so, not the first time MA

Re. Hull, they probably can't afford it. Some teams will be more reckless than others.

They sold Keane Lewis-Potter for £20m last summer. An academy player so that will be pure profit in their accounts and for FFP.

I agree, League Two is a very poor league. Even when we signed Norwood, who had been prolific at that level, he barely scratched double figures in League One, Jackson had played primarily at that level before signing and was no where near Championship standard when he joined and it's taken him 6 years to get to that standard as a player. People will shoot us down for pointing that out. This whole thing smacks of another PR signing to calm the masses as we failed to do the deals that we were after, I hate to say it, but we had this last season with Ahadme and Camera. Why you would loan Ladapo out and bring in a player from the 4th tier...

Another point is, from a long term point of view, do we really need another international player who is likely to be away while we're still playing league fixtures? It's a massive pain in the backside.

PR signing, on a hope, rather than someone to push us over the line to promotion. Even Freddy Sears was a better punt than this, and he never did the same business in the Championship either. I appreciate people just want to be excited about a signing, but I would rather we have kept Ladapo and saved the money. If Al Hamadi is any good he'll be in League One next season and then we can see how he progresses, but we really should be shopping up rather than down.
