I’ll be honest, I’ve seen people point out certain mistakes, things they lack quality at… is that a new thing in sport?


Some players get savaged by pundits, if I was a professional footballer I wouldn’t read fans forums or twitter etc anyway.. because some people Just slate you for the sake Of it, whatever you do.

I assume that you are talking about the persistent and often baseless player criticism? To call out a player who had a poor game for having a poor game is part of the game and has been for all history.

But, there are players that have attracted repeated and unwarranted criticism from various posters on here, more needs to be done to stop that. Excepting Frimmers with Burns, Brandon Williams seems to have become a favourite on this board, often by the same 5 or 6 posters, who seemingly couldn't care less that he is just a young lad.

I’m just talking about us putting ourselves in their shoes and imagining what it must feel like to be on the end of the criticism. No more, no less. They’re not robots. They’ll have good and bad days at work, just like the rest of us.

Frimmers is a bellend with his opinions, but given he hasn't been abusive AND is regularly opposed by the majority of the board, Mr Burns Snr has been a bit precious. But everyone's had their say and there is no need for escalation.

Reminds me a little of the time James Cordon's parents wrote in to the Kermode and Mayo show after they had savaged JC in a review.

This is all most curious. Have any of Frimley’s criticisms of Burns reached the levels of bile that another poster has consistently displayed when mentioning Luke Chambers or Cole Skuse? I don’t remember seeing anything too excessive from them about Wes.
