5-0 and we still don't sing 21:16 - Mar 16 with 8093 views | EC2_Blue | What the hell is it about Portman Road? I've been going for 45 years and can honestly say that currently the 'support' does not warrant what is going on on it. Is it that Blue Action have moved? Is it that all the songs have become chintzy proto pop rip offs? Is it the disconnect between upper and lower tiers- especially in the North? Is it that we are so in awe of the wonders on the pitch that we get tongue tied or complacent? I've got all Victor Meldrew about this before but today was crap and people really need to sort it out? I know it's not just me because all away fans remark on it. Maybe football is, after all, the new religion. Nobody sings in church either. Well done Town. Zero for effort from the home fans. Again.

5-0 and we still don't sing on 21:40 - Mar 16 with 5279 views | Churchman | The ground was sold out today, more or less. The average this season is what 29,000? The variance to capacity mostly being down to away supporters attendance. It’s likely to be the highest average attendance in the club’s history. ‘Zero effort from the home fans’? It’s not measured always by noise in my opinion. A few PL games at Anfield and Man City’s ground recently you could hear a pin drop. At the Emirates when we got thumped in the League Cup semi second leg, the home support was quiet. It depends on the moment, time and place. It varies. Even in 2000-2001 in North Stand there were quiet bits. I know, I was there. I certainly am not critical of town support, not least because sitting in Pioneer steerage you don’t get ‘singing’ and in my dotage I neither want to or can. Abuse ref, Lino, opposition players, cheer when we score or stand and shout for the last 15 mins against West Brom I’m ya man.

5-0 and we still don't sing on 21:49 - Mar 16 with 5223 views | Sarge | Anything else you want to moisten your underwear over? From a quick glance at your posting history you seem the type to write a strongly worded letter to the weatherman when your washing gets wet. Away fans reckoning home fans are quiet is as ubiquitous as singing [insert town] is a sh1thole…blah blah blah. There’s no originality or objectivity in football fandom.

Thee was plenty of noise - we sit almost opposite Blue Action. Bizarre post and the score is wrong - maybe they weren’t even there

5-0 and we still don't sing on 23:46 - Mar 16 with 4619 views | Pendejo | In terms of home games... I felt both Sunderland and Birmingham games engaged the crowd more because there was jeopardy, today was too easy. Even I sang less. Wednesday fans showed some spirit at 4-0 which was soon cruelly crushed by the bullies in blue.

Sounded good on Town TV audio, and the EFL highlights show commented on the "terrific atmosphere".

5-0 and we still don't sing on 08:23 - Mar 17 with 3888 views | thebooks | Atmosphere was really good yesterday (NS lower, quite a way back, behind the goal) – I thought it might be edgy due to the Cardiff result but we got behind the team from the start. Obviously the early goal helped. Some new songs – Tuanzebe’s (which wasn't Dancing to a Tuanzebe beat), Ipswich Town going up the gears or similar… Sarmiento’s is pretty good, we’re gamely trying the newish Morsy song… Not much to moan about in all that.
5-0 and we still don't sing on 08:29 - Mar 17 with 3870 views | Bluedandy | Depends entirely where you sit, down by Sir Bobby Wednesday fans were inaudible throughout the game because of constant Town singing. The Sir Alf has always been more quiet ... like every football ground in the country some parts are noisier than others ... so away fans at Ipswich inevitably get a skewed perspective. And if you have been going 45 years then by God you've got a dreadful memory, in the Fergie or Duncan years half empty Portman Road was a cauldron of silence, you had more chance of developing tinnitus in a library. Currently averaging a club record of nearly 29,000 (let down only by some very poor away followings), Town taking more away than most in the division and yet our support is still not good enough for some ... a tad bizarre.
