Very much so. Thought he was Pep when he was down here at Swansea (didn't achieve much, apart from their longest winless streak I think).

When are they going to get rid of Alan from the hangover and get a proper football manager to manger their parachute money squad?

He is an ar-ehole, but I can fully understand his comments. If the roles had been reversed it is what I would expect McKenna to have said.

McKenna would have watched the second half. He clearly didn't.

He's right - they didn't deserve to lose. But we fought back to put ourselves in that position. Lesser teams would have crumbled.

And FFS minus Tuanzebe and Hutchinson - an injury prone full back and youngster - every starting player was with us in League One. And Southampton have remnants of their Premier League squad which has been boosted by parachute funding. They should be better than us. It's not the accolade he perhaps thinks it is.

The boy has always had an 'edge' to him for sure. Pity he lacks class in his interviews. Needs to take a lesson from former Norwich managers like Hughton or Farke who would always act with total dignity. He has got Saints playing amazing football at times which would not be out of place at all in the PL. However, they don't kill teams off and they always give you a chance to get back in as you did.

Downes said before the match they had to win every game to stand a chance so the reporters were only repeating what his own players believe.

Be nice for them to dent Leeds' and Leicester's chances, though.

Quite right but we had 38 shots to 2 against Maidstone and no one said we deserved to win that. He’s a good coach and may well go on to do ok in the prem, but my god he moans about everything (so yes well suited to the prem for that alone)

Plenty.

The only matches in which we were outplayed he recognised it. I can’t remember us having been on top of a match for a good part of it and losing, so there isn’t a comparison, Apart from Maidstone which was a complete freak. There is little in Martin’s quotes that aren’t understandable given the circumstances.

Cry more, that’s how football can go and why we love it.

To be fair, Southampton were the best side we’ve played this season, which makes the result this evening all the better.

To be fair we didn't turn up until the 60th minute. They should have put that away, they do play a very structured game, & pass it well, but without much passion. Us on the other hand……

Farke gets a little salty, but Hughton was a classy gent who I hoped would be here after, I think Keane? When did he leave you?
