I know the contract has been on the table to him since the middle of last week. I know that Brighton approached him the week beforehand.
Schwartz has come over to a) try and convince Kieran to stay and b) consider alternatives if he leaves us in the lurch. I thought that much was obvious?

This is my worry, if he wasn't interested in the Brighton job he'd have turned them down by now and they'd have moved on. He's waiting to see what happens at United but I think he's probably going to end up at Brighton, which is very disappointing. |

The Brighton supporters i know do not like it and are pretty lukewarm about KM.
Story could be simply presenting plausible speculation as fact or fed by agents but either way it doesn’t feel totally convincing to me.

If anything, this feels more like from the agent either trying to push United into a decision quickly or getting Town to up their contract offer. |
Probably two-fold.
Trying to negotiate an improved contract, but also getting Schwarz to commit to a transfer war-chest at a level that McKenna thinks will make us competitive.

I suspect Ashton is well across it. Publically he's never going to rule himself out of Brighton whilst the United job is there but he must have some conviction either way on the Brighton job.

MA bought KM in, and we have to trust he will (if it comes to it) bring the right person in in the future. He’s earned our respect in that.

I have no problem with him wanting to progress his career, but the shame is he seems keen on anything PL but Ipswich and is in the runnning for all vacant roles? As others have said if Frank went to Utd or Chelsea, I expect KM would be favourite for that role as well.
By all means go to a "super club" like United or Chelsea (not focusing on how they are run currently) but Brighton seems a needless move and poor from KM.
