Was more thinking along the lines of the agreement with Seashysters that we'd take him back if we went up. Can see Tony Bloom recalling him quicker than Fergie every time Posh sacked his boy.

Would sign him perm in a heartbeat. Fantastic talent who will only get better under McKenna. Young player that just needs to find consistency over 90 mins. Already a fantastic impact player.

Sarmien-no? on 19:53 - May 27 with 5822 views | Swansea_Blue | Yeah, I’m missing something too. What does? (And btw, agree with the comment that we’ve outgrown him. Unless KM wants him as a possible one for the future, and therefore he’s not too expensive).

Sarmien-no? on 19:55 - May 27 with 5732 views | wkj | I don't think we have outgrown him, that is to say - I can't definitively say that. A full season under McKenna has often shown to totally lift a player beyond expectation and past performances. The lad would be well bedded in here and hungry to run through walls for us - I would not be sad to see him remain at PR.

We must have p1ssed of Brighton so much they won't sell or loan us any of their players. Like Jezza.

Maybe if we apply fan logic, but I doubt Brighton will slouch on who they bring in so they will be fine with us.

Sarmien-no? on 19:58 - May 27 with 5637 views | MK1 | I would like to think that they are professional about it. It isn't Samiento's fault all this has happened. If McKenna wants him still, there shouldn't be a problem because of what has or hasn't happened.

Outgrown is maybe the wrong phrase as it implies a bit of arrogance, but I don’t see him being Pl ready. I’d have thought we need to improve on our starting line up as a priority. But what do I know, and yes he would certainly fit us and has potential, is the right character, would slot straight in, etc. A low risk signing.

I agree Sarmiento has a great upside and improved under McK. I'll never forget that 96th minute goal. However, how much would he cost? Does he walk into our EPL team and strengthen us? Just being honest I'm not so sure, is money spent more wisely elsewhere? Edit: for a typo that my stupid phone doesn't autocorrect. [Post edited 27 May 2024 20:21]

What by not obeying to them demanding to take our manager? Surely we should be more upset with them thinking he'd automatically just leave here.

Business is business isn't it? Said elsewhere, Sarmiento as a permanent signing only for me. Hutchinson on loan or permanent. Whatever, at least one loan needs to have somectop level experience for me.

Sarmien-no? on 20:23 - May 27 with 5116 views | Metal_Hacker | I’d have him here tomorrow. Offered something totally out of the normal from anyone else. Fast feet and aggressive all rolled into one. A great player to run at them and also defend in the last 20-25 mins like he did last season.

I imagine he would also have followed Omaris improvement trajectory with another half season with McKenna under his belt.

They will be. Unless we’ve done something out of order, but I can’t imagine what that would be. Anyway, I’m off to check the odds on Lieran being the next Leicester manager

Sarmien-no? on 21:13 - May 27 with 4261 views | GavTWTD | I can't find the clip now but I thought they were disappointed with the lack of game time. Edit. Found quotes: “I followed him. I watched many games,” De Zerbi said. “He didn’t play so many games in the first XI but he was important for Ipswich. In West Bromwich [where he was on loan in the first half of the season] the same, I think. “He needs to play in a different context. He can play number 10, he can play winger but he has to play a particular type of football. “Ipswich and West Bromwich played in a good style. He can be important next season, but we have to analyse the squad, the new players, the players like Deniz Undav [who is on loan at VfB Stuttgart] if he comes back or not, I don’t know.”

Loved sarmiento He's another broady but better at the tracking back and getting stuck in. I do think if he joins us we will see him over broady more next season.

Sarmien-no? on 21:21 - May 27 with 4118 views | _clive_baker_ | There was some suggestion when he signed that he might stay for this next season, so depending on the contractual side of things it’s possible they can’t do anything about it. Either way, I wouldn’t have thought Brighton would cut off their nose to spite their face. Might be annoyed if they don’t get KM, but they’ll still want the best for their player.
