To distract us from all the contract shenanigans, what was your favourite goal from the last season? It doesn't necessarily have to be the best goal as I think Burns wins that without trying.
It's Burns. My thoughts when they were passing it amongst themselves was of frustration and then Chaplin launched it to Lief. Phew. That looked like a soft goal waiting to happen. When it got to Burns nothing seemed on. And then a bit of magic. ... and I was left thinking WTF just happened.
Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?
I think my favorite one has to be what was the most important one in my eyes
Omari's late equiliser against WBA ... we'd been on our blip, just lost at Preston and were facing back to back defeats for the first time in god knows how long ... we saved the draw and that result ended the bad run because we then went on that winning run straight afterwards and the corner was turned

Sorry, has to be Burns...it’s an iconic goal for me and goes alongside Mariner’s header against Liverpool at PR in 76/77, Osborne’s cup winner and Marcus Stewart’s header at Wembley in the 99/00 play off.

Harry Clarke played the most important part of that whole move.
Had he not been involved in the passing to begin with AND made an 80 yard run to overlap Burns and drag the second defender, then Burns could never have cut inside to score the goal he did.
All on Clarke that one.
Ade Akinbiyi couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo...
There’s a few, but the one that sticks in my mind is Chaplan’s header for the winner at home to Sunderland.
Well practised training ground move, superb delivery from Leif and a bullet header into the top corner. Fantastic noise and celebration in the north stand.

Morsy's twice-deflected equaliser at home to Leicester on boxing day - absolute scenes and an important result to show we could keep up with Leeds and Leicester.

All of the above qualify more, but one from the early part of the season is the second goal against Hull here:
Obviously it is a great goal but I also remember it as a kind of watershed moment in the North Stand to see the value of Hladky taking the extra risky touch and playing out. As much as the celebrations after were for the goal, almost as much appreciation was visible to him.

But one i particularly cherish is that goal against Hull at FPR which started with Hladky spinning on the ball on his own goal line, and starting the move off. Not only was it a perfect team goal, but that result really brought home that we could do something special.
Burns v coventry? always forget the opponents, but just the sheer balls to give it a go, but to finish it as he did was brilliant, and also the overlap by clarke to enable it to happen, and the play before hand. quite frankily a disgusting goal.
Sarmiento v southampton for the elation felt
but i've got one. Davis v southampton. Only because that was the first real sign that he's begun to become more than an assister. He's spoken of the work he's been doing with his shooting and being more dangerous in that aspect of his game... that goal for me was out of nowhere and a real sign of how he's improved.
I know it was cold that day, but the lack of limbs was embarrassing. Every time it gets replayed I'm amazed at how most supporters just stood and clapped.

I wish that Burns goal was scored at the SBR end.

Chappers left foot volley from Davis corner,
chappers header, cant remember what game but near post top corner from davis freekick. I was actually at bingo with the mrs, watching it on my phone and let out a yes when he scored, " is that a claim" slightly embarrasing moment that one.
I'm a very reserved man, I very rarely celebrate more than just shouting a "yes!"... but Sarmiento's goal against Southampton had me leap out my seat, screaming and shouting and in the end doing a little dance that I'm glad wasn't seen by anyone outside my household.
Best part is, I live with a Leeds fan and we watched it together :)

Was Sunderland home I believe - I was left scratching my head as to how the smallest man on the pitch beat everyone to that header. A massive goal too as it came during our ‘blip’ when we were missing a number of key players- Hirst was out and Kieffer hadn’t yet arrived, KJ was playing up front.
