There won't be much love for them or Farage on here, but all I am suggesting is that you read their manifesto, if you haven't already done so.

I won't be voting for them, but if you read the manifesto, you might realise why around 17% of the electorate want to do so as some of their points will make sense to them.

Just playing Devil's Advocate here....what about voters who would rather not vote for either of the two main parties, particularly Tories who feel let down by the past 14 years of government, but cannot, for various reasons, bring themselves to vote for Labour....are we suggesting they vote for one of the other minority parties, anyone but Reform?

Just asking for a couple of friends.

They can vote for whoever they like of course, but they should be under no illusion about what Farage and Reform represent (and it’s not ‘the common man’).

100% agree. The issue is controlling immigration sensibly & fixing the broken "asylum" system & unfortunately Reform UK & other similar parties carry along a large number of racists as supporters by using the "all immigration/immigrants are bad" theme.
As you say, there are certainly some good ideas in there as well, but the media is more interested in the immigration rhetoric.

I started to read it yesterday but got waylaid.

As it happens I was thinking about voting for reform before Farage took over, now I probably won't.

I don't give a monkeys what the haters say but I hope Reform does well and gives the mainstream a fecking great jolt.

I read a few posts yesterday on here and I gotta say, many on this forum are so out of touch with the common man.

"Immigration is not out of control, prove to me that it is"

I'll bloody prove it, the fact that hotels and ex military places are full to the brim bloody proves it.

Controlled immigration is absolutely fine and if anything we need a whole lot more of it, both for diversity, richness of culture and very importantly - workers.

Unchecked people in small boats conveniently losing their passports on the way is absolutely fecking insane and will come back to bite us on the arse.

Utter utter madness!!

Oh and by the way, I very much doubt any manifesto will add up financially.

I think Reform will do well, maybe not for this election but definitely in the future, especially now Farage is in control.

I have friends in the UK that have turned from Conservative to Reform. If I lived in the UK I would also probably go that route.

Isn't Farage married to a Rumanian (or German or French woman)? I suppose he would rather live with one than next door to them!

Where does a Rumanian come from;)

As an immigrant in another country can't you see the clear contradiction in supporting Reform?

I take it from your post that you’re a foreigner in an overseas country?

If correct, how would you feel if a politician started to attack immigrants as scum and rapists? Making it really uncomfortable for you? Any empathy at all?

You are being a bit of a conservative politician there and ignoring the bulk of what their ‘contract with the people’ actually said.

It was quite a bold commitment, or fantasy, that included electoral reform and genuine initiatives that might help the NHS, tax reform, housing and many other things that give blinkered or disillusioned people wet dreams.

Personally I think they might be on the right track to obliterate the conservatives …here in France the slightly more fragrant version of Farage doesn’t even mention immigration or Muslim bashing …. It’s all about lower taxes, better and earlier pensions, better child care …. All of which are far better than in the UK already. Even the slogan France First sounds a bit familiar. They might even win.

Do you think you could answer my post?

You often talk of how you love being an immigrant yet you'd take away that from people wanting to be immigrants in the UK.

I am very interested to know what makes you better than them which means you get the advantages of immigration whilst denying those advantages to others.

You haven't proved anything. You've done exactly what Reform expect the rest of their voters to have done which is zero research on the subject whatsoever

well, according to the polls, it's about 17% of the population. Feels about right to me according to my experiences. The majority of British people are and have always been quite centrist (if a little too attached to anachronistic institutions like the monarchy IMO).

No irony.

I live in Thailand as a guest of the Thai government, with visas for my family.

Prior to this I lived in Monaco as a guest of the monegasque government, with residency permit.

Prior to this I lived in Los Angeles as a guest of the US government, with a visa.

Prior to this I lived in Switzerland as a guest of the government, with a permit.

Even the most challenged on here might see a pattern emerging .

So you're a repeat economic migrant who would vote for an anti-immigration party? I'd say that's pretty ironic, certainly more ironic than any of the examples of irony in the song 'Ironic' by Alanis Morissette.

I see a pattern, your an economic immigrant who as been welcomed and treated well in every country you have been lucky enough to live in.

So you would appear to be a big fan of worldwide free movement for yourself but your anti immigration for others

Why do you keep ignoring my questions? Could you answer it please?

All this post has done is highlight how selfish your position is. You've been given all these opportunities to work in a country other than your birth and you want to prevent others from doing the same. Reforms position isn't just about illegal migration but legal migration as well.
