I would suggest if the guy is that unsure of where he wants to go we go for someone else. We don't want players at ITFC who aren't 100% signed on to the project. We have a decent squad of players who along with Freddie and Kayden Jackson, Dom Ball etc all who played their part even they they weren't regulars. We need to keep that mindset regardless of who or how much they cost. |

Cut the guy some slack and let him think about his options before the whole "we don't want people who aren't 100% committed" routine

That's a bonkers attitude - it's a massive decision for a young man to make which could determine how his career pans out, and he's totally entitled to spend a bit of time making that decision. I don't think it would be worth Villa's effort to do that for an incremental increase in their sell on fee.
They would look like amateurs to clubs and players.
What happens when ITFC don't increase their bid?... Villa turn round to the player and say they were just bluffing?
