Journalists regularly comment on how some grounds are and the hospitality they receive. It’s good for everything to be we presented and nice.
There is a significant difference between sides that have been in the Premier League recently and those who haven't. A very much more comfortable experience and better working conditions. A far cry from Accrington, Fleetwood, Morecambe etc!

Just imagine if this was a task given to Evans and Milne to sort. I saw some of the plans the year we lost in the play offs, and whilst I appreciate requirements have moved on a lot since then, they were laughable compared to this.

I suspect your experience is somewhat different to mine Phil.
The photographers room at West Brom was effectively a cupboard under the stand with room for about 8 photographers, even though places have to be provided for 20 pitch side. Once there were 8 in there with all their gear, it was a case of "Can someone breath in so that I can breath out?"
Villa Park we were in a corridor with no seating, next to a bog that Chris Kamara had an unerring habit of using for a post Friday night curry sh1t and stinking out the whole corridor.

I can imagine, did see a few tweets from the EADT guys about the facilities at the likes of Leicester, Southampton.
Mentioned it earlier but assume pre-match pressers will be down at the ground in the new room now? Unless they’ve done a media room up at the training ground as well?

I know someone who's firm had quoted for the media centre above the control box and he told me at the Huddersfield game (last season) it wouldn't be ready if the first game of this season was at home. That was without any involvement in the playoffs.
He said then that a lot of the problems at PR is during Sheepshanks, and previous mgmt time, some work was done on the cheap, cut a few corners. Nothing was against building regs but now whenever they do work at PR they find something wrong which needs to be corrected and takes longer than planned.
I was in Suffolk yesterday and chatting to him, and said I find it amazing Luton got all their work done. He explained it's possible Luton's stadium is so old it some ways it's easier (quicker) because you're starting from a clean base, whereas at PR they have to undo what was done previously.
Yeah I was going to say, Kenilworth Road probably isn’t as complex as PR as we, the stands are a lot smaller and they probably had space to build media stuff on a car park somewhere.
And there wasn’t much to demolish of the old stand where they built the new one!

Sorry people but we're miles off! Stairs in a cupboard!
I'm wondering if at some time Town used an Egyptian builder as when I went into a tomb in Sakkara they had a small staircase which I understand was for them to access the afterlife ?

I've seen more inviting players lounges in the national league. I think its those floor tiles, they look a bit naff. Maybe they'll be less obvious when its furnished.
In Roy Keane's day, there's no way players would have been lounging.

I assume they'll still be at the training ground as Kieran's based at Playford Road. Don't think we've had pre-match pressers regularly at Portman Road since Roy's day.

I wonder if they're improving the wireroom at Portman Road. Hasn't been mentioned, so may well be that photographers' facilities have been overlooked across the board.

Yes, Mark, of course you did.

Without wanting to drag this up again, as someone who was moved, to me it could've been handled so much better if they hadn't had sold the additional 1k ST's before the seat moves, get the existing fans moved, then sell the additional.
From a PR perspective, it would've made so much more sense.
Anyway it's done now, no point crying, but hopefully going forward when it comes to decisions like this, they will think things through a little better.
Re: the stairs to nowhere in the cupboard, I wonder if that's a relic of the old West Stand and were just never removed for some bizarre reason when they built the Pioneer on top of it?

Yes, but the work going on at the moment is nothing compared to Clegg getting those turnstiles painted. Oh, the challenge and excitement of that!
Looking at the footage, it strikes me how tight for space they (still) are. I’d be interested to see a floor plan to see how it all connects. To my ignorant eye it looks all rooms within rooms, tight corridors etc.
Loved the cupboard with the stairs in it. The chopping down of the old floodlights and leaving the bits below ground there didn’t surprise me. I dread to think what they did in the other three corners.
