at 37:57 Hutch says it is a little over 3 weeks until we open our doors to the world, so clearly this was only within the last 48 hours. If they get that lot finished in time, I will be amazed. But then nothing about this club amazes me any more. Excellence from top to bottom.

In fairness that poster was replying to the Luton reference.
Which I uppied, considering the work going on at FPR how the hell did Luton meet these standards?
I think Luton just said, we'll get some of it done, but we both know we'll only be here one season, so we will get on with the rest of the work over the next two summers ready to come up again.

Luton were so far behind the regs, honestly fair play to them building that stand and doing what they did.
Looks like we are going all in investment wise, which as Ashton said is the right thing to do! The investment being made will bring FPR up to code for the EPL and other events into the future.

I'm pretty sure the premier league are actually a bit pragmatic about it. Various things that are absolutely essential to have, but I think a number of the projects are ones we've voluntarily opted in to (some perhaps as a direct or indirect consequence of PL regs admittedly). I can't recall a club ever being fined or punished for not meeting their requirements, and some are no doubt even less prepared than us. Luton for example.
I think 'finished for Liverpool' also depends on how literally that's interpreted. There will be absolute must have's that will have to get done, but I'd be surprised if some non deal breaker bits don't rumble on. 3 weeks until Liverpool but only 2 home league games in the next 9.5 weeks.

I’m genuinely amazed that put this video out, it’s like one of those HSE videos you watch on courses where you discuss everything that’s wrong with the work going on on site. It’s been a lot of years since I’ve seen a site in that state

I’m not going to sleep very well tonight worrying about how the Jesus fvck that all gets finished in time, so god knows how Ashton is getting any sleep at all! I had no idea it was that much work, and also having the first game on telly gives zero wiggle room. Blimey, I’m going for a lie down, albeit I won’t be able to sleep……..
My God the sheer amount of Premier League requirements. How did Bournemouth fit it all in their tiny stadium? Referee His and Hers and Masseuse's? 5 media rooms and cabling for 46 cameras. The list goes on, and all as requirements for the global brand
Luton, too. Maybe they’re new rules for this season

Until I watched that, I hadn't thought about female as well as male officials' changing facilities. Presumably that means when we have had female officials in the past, they haven't had separate facilities!

That's a pretty common occurrence accross all men's football currently. Usually it means the female officials having to find a toilet or waiting for the men to vacate and taking it in turns.
It's a mandatory FA requirement now though that any new builds have to require separate facilities to meet the ground grading regulations at certain levels.

You watch that and have to laugh and think how on earth is that going to be ready in 3 weeks time?
I bet they’re regretting having some home pre-season games now.
But if anyone can deliver it on time then this club and staff can, Ashton is pretty confident so so should we.
Major, major works, at least Phil is going to have a nice new area, I hope he gets front row along with Watson etc - I imagine pre match pressers will be in there as well.
If they're using cladding rather than plastered, painted walls, it'll be finished pretty quickly. About three quarters of most jobs is prep and sorting out the bits which will never be seen again (until the next refurb, at least). If you can throw people at it - and know they'll actually turn up - that helps, too.

A personal highlight was Andy Warren just reaching out and pushing exposed cabling out of the way as he went past… shocking really.

I imagine there will be priority projects that will absolutely have to be done by the 17th and a fair few that will be ongoing a month or so into the season.
Something that stood out on the panorama view is those crappy Alf Ramsey Stand signs are gone and replaced by signage at the top of the stand.
The current players tunnel is a complete mess, oh my aha!
Dehumidifiers being flown in from all over to get that amount of plaster dry for painting! Just done my now kitchen ceiling, took a week to fully dry naturally!
