Some exceptionally good business in there. Money well spent all around, really.

Think Hutchinson may have been 18 mill without the add ons? Not sure if you’re including any

Yep, was £18m upfront. But apart from that, seems spot on.

Still looks like small change when you compare it to the spend of clubs in the top 6

We could potentially have two more to come in. Definitely a striker and then I guess it depends on whether the fringe players go somewhere to whether we get another body in.

That's a championship dream team that really should be good enough to hold it's own in the Prem.

It's more than I thought we'd spend, on more players than I thought we'd bring in. No one can say that our owners are not giving this a right good go. Let the fun begin

Interesting to see it laid out like that. While we've strengthened across the pitch, about 2/3 of our transfer spend is on attacking players.

But then we spent the majority of last season using 4 of our 5 subs on attacking players. That's how we play so we need to depth and skill to do so.

All without add-ons. There were different reports on the Omari transfer between £18m or £20m initial fee, no personal knowledge on which is correct. Greaves has been recorded as £18m on some sites, but likely due to some journalists describing the deal as an £18m package and not going into further detail on how that figure was broken down (£15m + £3m it appears).

I always thought we'd spend between 100-120 million.. they want us to stay in the prem and become established like Brentford, Brighton etc.

Don’t fall for the hype. Any figures quoted include backhanders, bonuses etc and payments due will be strung out for at least three years.

Real figure committed to spend this year is probably closer to zero than £100 million - probably a maximum of £33 million. The real damage will be done by wages and failing to move on the ones who flop.

Bit early to go like this isn’t it. We’ll see how they all do. Greaves is the only one I’d say looks certainly very good on the evidence.

Apparently we are doing a Notts Forest, mopping up cheap players in bulk,. Also, building a strong Championship side ready for next year!!!

What's generally missed in the Forest comparisons, beyond their £150m summer outlay on 23 signings being significantly more than our situation today, is that they also spent £145m on wages in their first season (11th in the league). So they spent almost their total revenue on wages, before we even consider transfer spend.

3rd in net transfer spend + 11th in wages + 16th in league finish = PSR breach.

I think objectively, the jury is out on very few at the price tags - i am talking purely financial here. Some of them are better than others, but for example Szmodics(best player in the league last year) at 9m is a snip.

Playing devils advocate…

We don’t know yet, do we?!

Lots of players with potential. What an opportunity for them!
A couple with PL experience who haven't (yet) set the world on fire / who tasted relegation.
A couple of risky bets (can they get back to what they once were types).

Lots of big fees paid. Astonishing compared to our past.

I’m hopeful, I guess we all are. But, we don’t know yet…🤞
