Moving from Tenerife to Scotland. Niw that really was like travelling back in time.
I was actually thinking the same about Life on Mars. It was made in 2003 going back in time to 1973. 30 years ago was 1994. Other than iPhones and iPods etc, society hasn’t moved on as quickly as it did from 1973 to 2003.
Music isn’t much different. Cars don’t look too much different other than the electric models.

Ade Akinbiyi couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo...
Marty went to 1955 and played Johnny B Goode - JBG was released in 1958, but arguably was a “new” genre of music. Not sure what there was in 1997…? (3 years after the 1994 return)

This one's an oldie. Well it's an oldie where I come from.
Turns to band... OK it's a pop progression in F#minor, follow me for the chord changes and err.. try to keep up.

come to daddy by aphex twin? could be a tricky one to play live!
Likewise, university and watching Town in the Prem.
Would have been a few weeks in to the second year. Friday nights were usually the student union where £10 would get you in (£2), 6 pints (£6 - or £6.60 if you ugraded from Carling to XXXX) and some chips and still give enough for some change.
Saturday would usually be getting on a train to watch ITFC (luckily my uni was very central and loads of grounds were within easy reach on the train) or playing football for the uni.
1994 was in Oz, first job out of uni. To get the itfc score it was either listen to bbc world service at 3am or wait for the International Express on Tues/Weds.
Kids nowadays have it easy with this Internet thing.

Finished my A-levels (stunningly mediocre results), didn't go to uni and ended up looking for work in junior jobs still wanted work experience that I didn't have, so had loads of waste of time job interviews. Ended up spending 6 months labouring on a farm then for a building firm, before getting the equivalent of a YTS job to get the work experience I needed.
Not the most fun I've ever had, but I'm sure it was character building in some way. Certainly not a year I'd be desperate to revisit though!
I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun.
I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

I was on the exhibition circuit.
The sex exhibition on Earl’s Court was 1994 wasn’t it? I was next door at the caravan and boat show so popped in for a gander. People were getting plaster casts of their c0cks.

Blimey GB!!!!!!!
That wasn't a sex exhibition, it was The Gay Ideal Home Show. It was just after the normal IDH but was in Earls Court 2.
I had a stand there selling aquariums and the plaster cast of your dick stand was directly opposite!!
Edit; I did the Caravan and Boat Show at Birmingham NEC in Feb 96 - demonstrating and selling steam irons!

“Hello, I'm your MP. Actually I'm not. I'm your candidate. Gosh.”
Boris Johnson canvassing in Henley, 2005.
Blimey. That made me think. I would've said, "not much," but the more I thought the more I remembered. I was into my 26th year of following Ipswich, my lad was at the Ipswich Town academy, and my (new) misses was expecting. And I was spending too much time away for work. I could go into more detail, but probably not a good idea.

November 1994 and I was doing Rachel. She was "the one". 10 years younger and gorgeous. At Xmas she took me home to meet her mum. Her mum loved me. Rachel hated me. I hated myself. The only 'person' smiling was Percy.
Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?
