It's basically a fight with Leicester isn't it. 15:20 - Dec 15 with 3675 viewsFrimleyBlue

Obv wolves not far behind. But for that safety place it does appear that for anyone to be safe they've got to finish above leicester.

Me too. However, some team will drop into the mix. Maybe West Ham or somebody. It’s often that way. Just can’t see it being Palace if they can keep their better players fit.

Agree. I still think first 8 games we got what we deserved overall. It’s been Brentford onwards, spurs aside and than yesterday, that’s been a story of very near misses and frankly bad luck.

I think Wolves & Southampton will go. Then a three-way fight between us, Leicester and Everton. Unless Man City have a massive points deduction - so it’s between the three of us then!

I would add West Ham into that mix. Aside from that, it will take a spectacular drop off from someone higher but that does sometimes happen.

I’d like to think it’s not as cut and dry as that yet.

However, I can’t help feel that the Leicester home game where we were cheated will come back to seriously haunt us.

Think Leicester and Southampton have been the poorest sides we've faced, Wolves just seem unable to defend and misfired against us yesterday when they do usually score goals, while also seeming a bit of a shambles beind the scenes. Think that's the most likely three not involving us.

On a related note, was looking at the bottom three this time last year and we're doing better than they were!

I'm tempted to add Man Utd into the mix watching them now. Can you imagine the pressure on them if they're three points above the relegation zone..

Would be nice to turn it into a bottom 7 mini league. With a bottom 4 mini league, our odds are not as good. So another 3 pts would be nice next Saturday.

I'd fancy our chances. We have a pretty big squad. Vardy will be hiding behind the wellie bins.

Indeed! With Manchester City 18th. Looking like we could regret letting them back into the game at the Etihad.

Payback for this........

Slipping to a 2-1 defeat at West Ham, Butcher was incensed, so much so that he had to be restrained by policemen.

Our run of games to the end of Jan are shocking.
