FrimleyBlue has gone again then. 04:58 - Jan 20 with 22979 viewsMK1

Clicked on his profile and it said "Error" Think that's a bit harsh if it was for his comment after yesterday's game, but overall not to surprised. He was ok pre season and a few games in, but his comments got worse as this season has gone on. If it's another little break for him, then I hope he has finally learnt from it, if it's a ban, then I will be slightly, ever so slightly sorry to see him go.

I’d say he’s chosen to leave rather than a ban.

[EDIT - Oh no, just seen what Phil has said. Fair enough]

Agreed. Some on here seem to think I have a soft spot for him, which I don't actually. I just don't agree with how quickly the mob jumps on his posts (of which I agree there are too many), and the rude way that people bait him back. I mean this respectfully to Frimley as much as possible, but I think he's played by those more intelligent than him on here and that's a bit sad to see.

Not the only baiting post we've seen on here, but would appear the size of the punishment is determined more by the size of the reaction.

I stand by my comments from yesterday, there's a reason why this forum is almost entirely male dominated and it's because of the culture that is allowed to fester on here.

I don't see much punishment being dished out to people who outright abused people yesterday. Challenging that culture too much probably doesn't make as much business sense to TWTD Multimedia Holdings though, not compared to just banning a poster that annoys the masses.

This forum runs a great service and I don't massively blame Phil and Gav for taking this option, but it's a shame we aren't all capable of just ignoring posts from people we don't like.

You miss the point entirely again.

People need not to post trolling nonsense which avoids negative responses which after a result like yesterday are likely to be more passionate than normal.

Translated as - some grown men on here are incapable of controlling their emotions and responses. Hope that's only the case on here.

When did we become completely incapable of nuance? Surely it's both - yes there should be less trolling but also yes there should be less abusive responses.

You're right about how the mob can sometimes go for people here, but to my shame I read Frimliy's post after the match. It seemed purely designed to piss people off after a stinger result - pretty nasty really.

What is it you like about his posts - the constant baiting, or repetitive nonsense.

After Burns-gate he should have had a lifetime ban IMO - imagine trolling one of your own players through the most successful period in two decades.

If this was the measure applied - the ban hammer is going to very busy if Mr Muric Snr ever gets in touch.

Mob rule. It was always the same old posters trying their hardest to get him banned.

FWIW I agree that Frimmers was sometimes unfairly attacked, but.......

Yesterday's post was insane really, and follows a pattern where he seemed to need to post hot takes in the aftermath of bad results, and that hasn't changed in the whole time he has been on here. I'm not going to say he thrived on the attention, as I don't know his motivation at all, but you could guarantee a post from him that would be aimed at winding this place up after every poor result, absolutely guarantee it.

Why not ignore him? Plenty of people on here would wind me, if i let them. Yes he might have been controversial, but i rarely noticed him abusing anyone.

Seems to me that if someone has a different opinion to the mob, they are the ones that receive the abuse, and get away with it time after time.

I think Frimmers came in for a lot of unnecessary stick. If he said something daft then the same people would pile on him in a way that they wouldn’t if it was somebody else. There was also a similar pattern to how Tractor Girl was treated many moons ago. Like a snake he was liked with a stick in the hope that eventually he would bite. These people knew what they were doing.

However, yesterday he seemed overly keen to wind up the rest of us after a particular painful defeat, which is a bit tw@ttish. I didn’t bother opening a couple of his threads but you could tell by the title he was being a dick. He really didn’t help himself yesterday and having the keyboard taken away from him fir a month or two may do him some good.

The problem with Frimmers is that he doesn’t occasionally say something daft, it’s that everything he says is daft.

But mostly inoffensive and not deserving of the same people constantly piling on him. And it is always the same people.

If I’m fed up with the same tedious sh1te from a particular poster i simply put them on ignore.

I think the issue with him is that he already had a stint away from the forum because of comments made about a certain individual. You would have hoped that his time away from here would've made him rethink how he posts .... and it clearly didn't.

The amount of threads, the amount of cr*p within those threads just made this forum so unbearable and unreadable at times.

Just because you don't agree with him, doesn't mean he's baiting.

It wasn't taken out of proportion whatsoever. He incessantly picked on him, one of our most effective players in the past two seasons.
