No Gibbs-White, no Watkins which is just baffling and Solanke who is only just back from yet another injury. Surely this camp against these 2 opponents was the perfect opportunity to blood Delap. New manager plays it safe with first squad, wonder if Watkins would have been ahead of Rashford had he not picked up the injury midweek. I was not expecting Delap to have done enough recently compared to others.
Delap's form has dropped and he is looking quite tired having carried our attacking threat almost single handed this season. Needs more experience, would almost certainly pick up a yellow card with his robust physical approach with international refs, and possibly a red.
He's got time, no need to rush him into something he is not ready for imo. | | | |

If you were being generous you'd say it is a 'play it safe' squad from a man on a short term contract whose only real remit is to win the World Cup next year. He has no incentive to blood younger players.
