It does seem odd that the Millwall keeper got his ban extended almost immediately whereas there's been no word at all on Cunha. I'm assuming they'll have a hearing but no idea why it's taking so long (again). They'll probably have the hearing after we've played Wolves and Cunha has bagged a last minute winner. |  |

Had been into it but missed The End - serve me right for sleeping-in on a sunny day! after a challenging evening. Some ppl tried valiantly to keep it on the rails but to no avail. The OP had at least -60 downvotes so might be pleased.

I also didn't see what happened, so can't really comment on it. Though I can completely understand Phil not wanting to deal with this kinda crap on a daily basis.
At the same time at risk of being expelled from the WhatsApp group I have to say I enjoyed a lot of Blueas posts and only ever had pleasant ( often amusing) interactions with him.
Hopefully it's just a suspension to put some manners on him and we see a Bluess 4.0 return in the near future  |

I was on more than one occasion "on the end of the banned poster's antics". That was nevertheless only one facet of him; he was often sound in his counterbalance & humour, so yes, I still thought him overall a valuable conributor.
Only Phil knows what happened at the end of this* thread though, and of course he's entitled to take the action/s he felt most appropriate.
*Edit - I meant the deleted thread, unless Phil has psychic powers - tho some things are more predictable than others I guess ... [Post edited 19 Mar 14:36]

I think your first paragraph touches on a key point. We seem too keen now to oversimplify what we think of people and how we describe them. As you say, people are multifaceted and complicated, sometimes doing things we like and sometimes doing things we find annoying. Judging people's contributions by the lowest common denominator doesn't really do anyone justice. How boring would it be if people were just one thing...
Either way, once a poster has been banned - I think it is best not to lay into them, but don't see anything wrong with people sharing their positive experiences. | |
