There was no mention of a sell-on clause when Davis joined. I doubt there is one, and he extended his contract to 2028 recently (I also doubt he'll move on).
With £24M banked from Delap, we're unlikely to need to generate much more, if any, to be within PSR. PSR also sees a cost of living increase next season (only worth about £1M, but everything helps) plus headroom from the last submission. | | | |

Agree with the general point I think we will be fine this summer without more than Delap 'needing' to go. But In accounting terms it won't be £24m banked from Delap, it'll be £15m:
Fee received - £30m
Fee paid less 1 year's amortisation - (£12m)
20% of profit - (£3m)
And Davis signing a new contract will have no bearing on the sell on (which there undoubtedly will be) agreed with Leeds. | | | |

You're only talking about profit though. We get the £24M to reinvest.
Think of it this way - you buy £100 in shares, so you're out of pocket £100. The shares appreciate, and are worth £150 a year later. If you sell them, you get £150 back - £50 profit yes, but you still have the £150 back in your bank account to invest elsewhere. The accounting / amortisation is just that - accounting for PSR. You still have the full amount back for spending on other player acquisitions. | | | |

Where on Earth do you pluck that number from?
Without going into too much detail (it's been posted a few times already), we have circa £60M coming from parachute payments, and £24M back from Delap. Wages (before more acquisitions) will drop - relegation clauses, loanees on big salaries going back, some fringe players naturally moving.
We may sell another big ticket more recent recruit but we won't have to - it will be down to the size of the offer, and whether or not we want to sell and the player wants to move on. | | | |

I probably misinterpreted your intent a bit (the mention of Omari was why).
We need to buy during the window, and will need to generate some income to achieve that and keep within PSR. Beyond Delap however, I see that coming from fringe players. I hope Axel stays, but if he goes we get nothing - he’s out of contract.
So where do we ‘top up’ the coffers? Walton, Harness, Ali, Mass, Broadhead all have potential to bring in the extra millions we need. Maybe Taylor and Harry too.
