This makes it worryingly apparent that Rupert Lowe's propaganda has quite a far reaching audience. How depressing.
So, season tickets up 10% on 14:41 - Apr 24 with 1196 views | RIPbobby | I said at the start of the season I would not renew if it was much more than a 10%. This is a sensible amount by the club. Personally my finances at the moment are very poor. If will have to have check my budget for the next 12 months. Also the fawanews factor needs to be considered.

Away fan appetite to pay £45 to go to a stadium they've probably already been to will be minimal.

I think it’s still good value, despite the increase which is minimal anyway. More games, more Town goals (hopefully 🤣), better matches, still interest free 12 mth direct debit

So, season tickets up 10% on 15:09 - Apr 24 with 1072 views | runaround | 10% seems a bit steep to me but I am guessing that some clubs are really fleecing fans so we can’t really complain. It is a concern that football especially at the top level is in danger of pricing fans out of going to matches and whilst demand is outstripping some clubs might not care but I don’t think it’s good for the game | | | | Login to get fewer ads

How is it tripe? If Portman Road is a sample size of the UK as a whole then it’s almost certainly true.

That’s the way the cookie and the West Stand crumbles. Actually I quite like it there. I’ve sat in all parts of the stand including the middle tier with my dad during the Keane’s to Hurst years and it wasn’t as much fun. Just too far away for McCarthy to hear my dad calling him a c-womble and worse for playing the hells trinity midfield against Rotherham or somebody.. When all else fails (as we’ve done all season😀) I can at least give the Lino a good earful! Along with Cucurella, Russell Greaseball last season and other selected managers and there’s a good chance they’ll get the message.

I think we get a discount because we spend much of the game sleeping, this season to be woken up by the opposition scoring. Hopefully next season it will be us scoring.

So, season tickets up 10% on 13:36 - Apr 24 by Blueschev | If your only income is the state pension you won't be able to afford a season ticket, discount or not. It's a luxury item, many people my age who have had children have had to sacrifice their season ticket as a result. Why is there not a 'two kids and 25 years on my mortgage' discount? Or a 'paying extortionate rent to a landlord over 60' discount? |
There is something in what you say but if such a discount were taken away, it would affect younger people down the line. As it is, apart from the Senior Railcard, it is the first benefit I have had since I reached 60, given that I don't get my state pension until I'm 66. [Post edited 24 Apr 16:16]

You may not intend to be controversial but you are pretty good at it. Incidentally the figure you quoted for state pension was the new state pension. Older pensioners will be on the basic state pension which is around £2,000p.a. Less, although those with no other source of income can close the gap with Pension Credit.

Exactly. You would have paid more than that to take part in a poor excuse of an Easter Egg hunt at a garden centre last week. When you look at the pricing hikes with gigs and theatre etc the football is still great value for money outside of a few money-hungry clubs. I'm glad the club is still looking to be loyal to the various groups of fans. Ipswich isn't the wealthiest area in the country and it would be a great shame if long-time fans were excluded from attending Town games.

As a commercial enterprise, the decision to offer a senior discount is the prerogative of the club. I personally don't see the need for it. Had it never been there I very much doubt there would be significantly fewer over 60s attending, and as a demographic they're the least likely to be struggling financially.
