Season is done, we will want that deal done ASAP so don't see the harm. I'm sure he hasn't considered staying because that wouldn't be the right thing to do, he is premier league footballer who should stay in the league.

Hopefully means we sell before pre season, and allows us to reinvest earlier than if he hadn’t been allowed to talk to other clubs.

It is weird for sure, but presumably those clubs have already told us they intend to trigger the release clause so we're being grown ups about it and getting it done as quickly as possible. I guess there's also potential that he won't leave so he genuinely is considering the options but it seems like a done deal. I don't mind. |  |

Depends how much we paid upfront, and how many years we split the cost over. We would have had a 15m loss I dont think, more like 3-4m
