Lead to team to relegation year after ( sounds awful but that's factually correct) don't mean it to sound that harsh. There's also the armband issue which can't be forgotten.

Nowhere near Holland imo. Mills as you say a clear no.1 and Holland no.2. Morsyfirst achievement was in League 1, which lessons the achievement. Championship season he was superb, however last season he, like most of team were miles away from keeping us up.

Holland was a different player to Morsy. But let's not diminish how bloody good was Matty both in Blue and the Green colours.

I think the state of the club and the turnaround in culture needed, the way he and the team never went missing in big games in a way I recall Holland doing so. It's fine margins for me, but yes.

Depends of you define great. We don’t see a lot of what they do as Captain, so there’ll never be a definitive list. Matty was excellent though. He was a better player than Sam, we were a better team than now (although that’s got little to do with either of them) and of course he’s still around the club 25 years later. |  |
