He wanted PL action and (importantly) has strong self belief, hence how he pushed on so much for us.
I would say he most likely knew what he was getting into, and preferred it over a season in a lower division.

Unless the ex player leaves acrimoniously I always wish them well and look on them with a bit of pride that we helped with their development. Delap was only here for a season, and we helped him moved forward. Likewise Omari, even though I am saddened in how he left, I would like to see him push on and do well as it reflects back well on us that we played a key part in his development.
Oh and also I don't like to come across as an absolute bell end of a person who wishes nothing but bad things to happen those who dare leave this club for another opportunity |  |

I'm kinda with the OP on this. Both players thought they were bigger than the club and had an air of arrogance about them. Omari in particular who downed tools to force a move. If it takes a while for them to establish and realise they are not shoehorns in, so be it. | | | |
