4 games in a short space of time, with 12 points up for grabs.... only one of those at home. How do we think we'll do?

Another tough run that will, in those three away games, almost certainly contain a disappointment whether people can handle it or not. Boro, by contrast, have three at home so we do need to pull something out of the bag. Feels like seven points to me, which would keep us right in there. Anything above that and we'll be superbly placed.

don't be daft, win your home games and draw your aways is par for a top 2 finish, 7 would be very decent (particularly given that 2 of the away ones are against sides in the top 6), 10 fantastic

That's just an unrealistic expectation for a run that involves those first 2 away games, let alone over the crazy Christmas period with games coming thick and fast.

10 points would be a really good return from those 4.

For all the (justified) chat that Hirst hasn't been on it this season, we look a better team when he plays IMO.

I'd take 8 or 9 points from this block of games. Millwall really aren't very good despite being top 6 and I'm not convinced that Coventry are anything special either and their squad has been showing signs of creaking a bit. Oxford and Pompey we have to be looking at winning, win one of the other two or draw both and that's a decent return. If we get more than that it'll have been a brilliant Christmas. Less than that and the gap to second may well grow again as we move past the halfway point.
