Not true, I've just seen him in Felixstowe, which I believe is closer as the crow flies.

He’s ’fled the scene’ apparently.

Is that a euphemism?

eugh, given that farage is as far up trump's back passage as it is possible to be, adding in benters is an even more unappealing turducken!

Not sure I like them giving live updates on his location.

No MP should have their movements tracked and shared like that.

Reform are touring the counties and holding rallies in preparation for local elections. I expect it is the turn of Suffolk tonight.

I suppose the club wants to ensure the Portman Rd plans go ahead if enough knuckle-dragging racists turn out to vote Deform in.

Hate preacher Farage appeals to the lowest possible dominators but he is an influential politician and so the club has to be welcoming to him. Maybe privately the club thinks that he’s a total idiot but they have to diplomatic.

Not sure why any club should be engaging with any politician that isn't either the local MP or Councillors, or serving in the current government

Just seen that tickets to their rally are £5 a piece. They really are grifters!

And I thought they were all about "free" speech

If an MP is on official business then their whereabouts should be fully transparent- if they are at an event in a private or personal capacity then there should be some sort of privacy.

I don't think so. The plans for the Portman Road area seem more driven by IBC, with ITFC seeking to be part of it. Only a third of Ipswich Council seats are up for election this May. 38 of 48 are Labour, so doubt there'd be a change of control.

There is a full election of Suffolk County Council. ITFC is a cornerstone of Suffolk, so I'd expect any party wanting to feel the pulse of Suffolk would want to understand what the club does in the community and why it is successful. Perhaps other parties seeking a toe-hold in Suffolk will beat a similar path to the club? Maybe they have and we ain't heard of it? Either way, sensibly the club won't have a political stance.

Why...?

This is using the club for promotional purposes.

I hope there is some other explanation here.

The guy is an odious and nasty piece of work (did you see his cameo outtakes)

Has done untold damage to this country, and will wreck it if he gets anywhere near power.

He’s a Trump apologist and a racist.

Trump may well be corrupt but I’ll let him off this as I doubt whether ITFC is that high-up on his radar. Anyway back to Farage…what a c**t he is.

Mate, this government is only about the fourth most corrupt in the last 5 years. And I say that as someone with little time for the current government.

They've organised a tour in the manner anyone can. No official invite, event or meeting. Assume they're trying to give the impression of something above and beyond what's happening.

That's the reassurance we are looking for, Phil.

I have to say that I'm surprised the 'keep politics out of football' types aren't quick to speak out on this.....
