Nope. It'll be interesting to see how our old guard get on for what it says about us. But other than that I find it hard enough to get to our matches, so I'm certainly not going to worry about theirs.

I am more inclined to support Cambridge over Colchester as a 2nd local in 92

I suppose I always keep an eye out for their result and I hope they go well. Cowling is a good owner. But support them….? No.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

I hadn't even thought about it till you posted this. Might keep an eye out for their results. Well I might read the inevitable threads on here about our old players scoring.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

why would any town fan look to support another team, especially one full of players that were bang average for us

Twtd has been a very strange place this week hasn't it?

Having been born in Colchester they have always been a 2nd team for me, though they were non league when that was 1st the case.

Somehow this year I'm rooting for them a little less though

Same here, though I'll still be rooting for them as normal. The Town boys being there makes no odds to me. I hope we are both promoted.

Don't know about 'secretly supporting', but I will continue to take an interest in our former players, see how they're getting on. Including keeping an eye out for their new teams' results.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

I hope Skuse does well. I think he has got a tiny more left in him than some people thought and could have a really good season at that level.

But generally, no.

As a more sensible answer, no I don't really care what Colchester do, but I will take an interest is how Dozzell, Downes, Bishop and lankester do. In an alternative universe they could have been the future of our team so I'm intrigued to see how they develop.

I hope he and they do well. I bumped into Skuse yesterday lunchtime and had a brief chat as he asked about the family (Yasmin always liked talking to his daughter of a similar age), so I wished him well for the season.

I won’t be ‘supporting’ them, secretly or otherwise, but I will keep a genuine interest in how they’re getting on, albeit more in passing than avidly.
