Fair play - to be fair I don’t think any of us that have been unhappy with Cook wanted to be right.

It’s the hope that kills isn’t it

I understand how people can swing from Cook In to Cook Out but not someone who even yesterday morning was posting stuff as though you led the Paul Cook fan page.

Very fickle

I am finding it quite funny that I'm still on the fence whilst some people swing from defending every single thing Cook has done and his record to now calling for his head.

Indeed.

A lot of modern football commentary and punditry (media and fans) seems to be about “calling it”. Rather than understanding that just because the time and patience is limited doesn’t mean these things can or should be called early.

Cook has to improve and if the current run continues then he’ll be out anyway. But I wouldn’t like to say that he can’t turn it around. That seems way too premature.

TBF, i've shared my negative thoughts over the weeks however theyve; been ignored as it doesnt match the PC love brigade persona you all gave me.

i'm still an advacote of time, however This month was always key for me, and the fact we had 2 full weeks more of training gave more more hope of it turning around.

however yesturday was 10 steps back , it wasn;t just individual errors like previous weeks, it was one of the worse games of 'shape, ideas, phases of play, etc i've seen for a fair while.

i Still see time there, but in response to another poster yesturday, I wouldn't bemoan any chanages if they were made like I may have done upto this point. The fraser situ, was the beginnig of the turn for me. Yesturday was 'the' one that put me in the 'maybe' he wont do it here.

It is all good and well you have this realization now, but do try to respect opposing views in the future. It isn't hard to distinguish between someone saying something to be on the wind up or someone who has a well thought out point of view that you disagree with.

Rommers, I am surprised that you have not picked up the point that Cook was appointed by Evans. Maybe getting rid of Cook will finally rid us of the curse of Evans.

Its got nothing to do with being right or wrong. Its more to do with being able to watch football and understand it, and making observations from it. Thats all that's been done by the likes of Herbivore, Joe, Bluefish, Me and several others.

With Cook's record and the squad we have it's a massive call to say you're wrong this soon.

I'm having doubts but there's no way i'm giving up on him now.

I'm where Darth is above. "Confidence he’ll turn it round" is not really my consideration one way or another, I've always just been of the mind that managers (particularly ones with very strong recent records) should generally be given time to get their ideas into the players. Hurst was an exception.

If our next two results are the same as the Bolton one I wouldn't be surprised to see our American overlords nervously pull the trigger -which would be before Morsy even gets a run in a league game. Which would leave him - and other players who signed based on Cook - in an awkward position. But I would also understand it.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Chrismakin are you like me unconvinced because he failed to get his old mucker Liam Richardson in as his assistant, it seems like he is a little lost with the finer points of team building ie tactics / shape and formation changes .
