From the video of the McKenna training session 15:16 - Dec 22 with 6339 views | Illinoisblue | Looks like Kenlock is still around. Must be a very weird situation for him, training every day knowing you’re not even eligible to play. He’s probably as good as Penney too. Wonder if he, Jackson and Nolan will finally get moved on in January

From the video of the McKenna training session on 15:22 - Dec 22 with 3710 views | catch74 | I was more thinking Nolan dropped from squad, Kenlock in, new loanee to replace Coulson. Jackson - should be playing regularly somewhere and it surely won’t be here, imagine getting anyone to pay his wages could be the problem. Maybe a loan to buy. Burns cover as replacement.

Suppose we could play KVY on the left and keep Donacian on the right !

Why would we want Kenlock back in the squad? He's clearly not good enough, he's had loads of chances and isn't really young anymore. SB

haha this always seems to be the case. If we aren't doing great and someone hasn't played for ages "Player X is better than Y" - No they aren't | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Why oh why we do we hang on to these players who are clearly not good enough after umpteen chances ?

Thought he had a couple of decent games last year, defensively better than Penney, hoping he wouldn’t be needed too much if we get a good replacement for Coulson but adequate cover in league 1.

Because a) everyone else also knows they're crap as well and b) no-one else wants them either. [Post edited 22 Dec 2021 18:57]

Kenlock isn't very good which puts him on about a par with Penney, who isn't very good either.

Boots should match the dominant colour of the socks. If I were a young Town player then I would be an attacking full-back schooled in the footballing philosophies of Wilnes and Tarricco. I would wear the number 13 shirt and wear blue boots to match the blue socks of the home kit. I would look amazing and play even better.

Which is why signing them both and paying Kenlock to not be unavailable is baffling, Myles was good enough for a few games a season as a back up in the league above and is good enough to be a back up in this league

Kenlock plays in a tricky position to fill, but he's rarely been a pillar of strength when he's played - just someone to fill the gap. [Post edited 22 Dec 2021 17:43]

Kenlock is fine physically and capable going forward but lacks a footballing brain. His anticipation and positioning is awful meaning he is always losing his man or having to chase. Would just about be ok for League 2 or National League but is not good enough for this level.

Put it this way, there's a good reason Penney has played a number of league games this season and Kenlock has played none. It's because Penney is a better footballer, it's that simple.

From the video of the McKenna training session on 18:02 - Dec 22 with 2845 views | Nthsuffolkblue | I think Kenlock will likely be glad that January will see some change in his situation. Time will tell and now is a chance for him to show McKenna he is worth a place in the squad.

The better reason is because Kenlock is unregistered.

From the video of the McKenna training session on 18:25 - Dec 22 with 2755 views | Keaneish | Penney’s left foot delivery and ability to get forward is far superior to Kenlock’s. They’re both questionable defensively but Penney is far better suited to the wing-back role. Some of Penney’s deliveries into the box have been superb.

From the video of the McKenna training session on 18:41 - Dec 22 with 2676 views | jeera | Above all that it was nice to see the players being coached. It looked like they were actually working on working in enclosed spaces et al, which may help us get away from the seemingly one-dimensional get it on the flanks and then wonder what to do next syndrome we've ben experiencing.
