I've said it before and I'll say it again - if you can't tell the difference between excitement and despair, the problem is with you, not with Brenner.
His reaction to our goal was greater, I thought. He sounded disappointed after as well.

Yes, but this sort of comment has been made many times before. He's actually a very good commentator. I had one ear on us and one eye on Wrexham. It's kinda important that he raises his voice in despair or ecstacy or whatever emotions you choose to assign. Otherwise I'd have never have heard/seen all the last minute goals in both games!
You are not the first to make a similar observation and you won't be the last.
I don't get this Brenner stuff. He's a quality broadcaster who is generally very well rrsearched and doesn't talk for the sake of it. I guess if we can't find something on the pitch to moan about, we have to find something else to find fault with.

He's good, is Brenner, but he's no Terry Baxter.....
Brenner Woolley is an excellent commentator. When he decides to move on, or hang up his mic, Radio Suffolk will have one hell of a job to replace him. We're lucky to have such a good commentator on our local radio station.

Indeed, I can't believe there is a better matchday programme anywhere in the country, when you consider the excellent Graham Mac, along with Mick Mill, Alex Mathie and others.

Jeepers people are sensitive ... hardly a controversial observation ... sometimes BW absurdly glorifies the qualities of modest opponents but overall he's pretty good for local radio.
It's curious he has spent two decades commentating on Town though, surely we weren't the final destination on his journalistic career path.

I think he is a dyed in the wool BBC man, so to take the step from Local Radio to National Radio may bring a bit more prestige but isn't going to as much job satisfaction as a jobbing 5 Live commentator
