| Sheff Utd and Burnley after Sarmiento 20:38 - Aug 20 with 9436 views | SheffordBlue | Available for around £7m according to Alan Nixon (which I know will split opinion). If Clarke is now beyond the budget he would seem to be a decent option. Improved under McKenna's coaching towards the end of the season when the pace of games slowed down and he had more time on the training ground. | |

| Sheff Utd and Burnley after Sarmiento on 20:44 - Aug 20 with 6028 views | Pique | Would love to see him come in at that price. We're still pretty thin on options in those attacking positions behind the main striker. | | | |
| Sheff Utd and Burnley after Sarmiento on 20:51 - Aug 20 with 5849 views | Lord_Lucan | Sometimes I think I’m on a different planet. I’ve posted a few times about Jeremy Sarmiento (I simply have to say the full name, in fact I sing it) I cannot believe some people aren’t enthusiastic. He was a fecking revelation baby! | |

| Seems ridiculous if.... on 20:55 - Aug 20 with 5767 views | Bloots | ....we aren't in for him at that price. I genuinely think he'd be more of an asset in the PL than he was last year. His unpredictability would be a huge asset. Plus in the PL he'd probably be relatively happy to be used as a "finisher" rather than desperate to be a starter. Seems a bit odd to me. | |

I thought the same thing. I'd imagine he would jump through hoops to come back, even if that means starting off as a bit part player. Just the kind of squad depth we need.

Yup, if we aren’t in for him at that price then it can only be because we think we can get someone better.

Delap will share the up front role with Broja, particularly whilst Hirst is out. Hutchinson and Burns (when fit) on the right, Sarmiento... or another new signing... and Broadhead (when fit) the left, Szmodics and Chaplin the number ten slot.

| Sheff Utd and Burnley after Sarmiento on 21:17 - Aug 20 with 5247 views | bluesbrothers | Loved him as a bit of a cult hero and that goal, but let’s be honest he struggled to work his way in to the starting line up and we need people who will improve the starting 11. Best for everyone to go our seperate ways | | | |

Need 7 options for those 3 behind the striker given we use 6 every match. Broadhead is out for at least the next 2 months and Delap is more of a striker until Hirst is back (again, another 2 months).

We’ve always done very well in games with our impact subs , and I still think Saturday, if burns hadn’t of gone off injured it may have been a different story, so to add Sarmiento back in to the squad, knowing he’s more than happy to wait his turn and come on and tear defenders a new one with his pace and skill, it’s a definite yes from me.. for what it’s worth.

Or don't think he's good enough for the Premier League, of course. Not heard his name mentioned at all this summer. Which doesn't mean he isn't somewhere on the list.

Agreed, £7m for a player who is unlikely to start much doesn't seem a good use of resources. Yes he is a player who might improve with time but we also have plenty of wide/attacking players.

He got better and better as the season went on and he integrated into the side. Was excellent away at Coventry and Hull when he came on. Has all the attributes we need and already understands all our patterns of play. Would be a cracking buy at £7m.
| Sheff Utd and Burnley after Sarmiento on 21:25 - Aug 20 with 4968 views | burnbudgiesburn | If he'd had the whole season under McKenna he'd be on the same level as Hutchinson. I thought his improvement was visible the longer we had him, and I loved the fact that such a flair player was not afraid to put in a shift defensively. | | | |

One of them is injured, another might be, and a third is primarily a striker. Plus we constantly replace and rotate in those positions. So the answer to your question is: nobody.

Can’t see that myself. He doesn’t have Omari’s physicality, speed or speed of dribble.
