Not to be unkind to Ali... 18:28 - Nov 24 with 11781 views | Zx1988 | But if we have Hirst or a PL-level backup on the pitch for the last 20mins, we win that.

Not to be unkind to Ali... on 18:32 - Nov 24 with 6205 views | John_Warks_Willy | I wish the formula was that simple! Ali will only become a decent top level striker player by getting exposed to it, and hope he gets there

Not to be unkind to Ali... on 18:33 - Nov 24 with 6189 views | reusersfreekicks | Not sure if we win it but he would have made a big difference. Al Hamadi is not at this level.
Not to be unkind to Ali... on 18:33 - Nov 24 with 6155 views | NedPlimpton | It's a big drop in quality, and in an ideal world he'd be out on loan at the top end of league 1 or bottom of the champ Not so sure about winning it if Hirst had come on though. We didn't create too much after the subs other than the Chappers shot
Not to be unkind to Ali... on 18:34 - Nov 24 with 6134 views | Swansea_Blue | I was just about to say the same. If we can bring on Hirst, Phillips and another one or two PL-standard players it could have been a different result. I’m not sure what our P&S rules headroom is, but I’m looking forward to what we can do in the second half of the season if we can bring in another 2-3 quality players in January.

Not to be unkind to Ali... on 18:34 - Nov 24 with 6127 views | nrb1985 | I wont single out Ali per se. But we really need some players back asap, that bench at the moment in certain areas is a big drop off from the starting XI. Nobody lacked effort though and we deservedly got a point - could have arguably been more. Well done Town.

His press looked really slow. Was he asked to hold off a bit? I expected him to be all over them when they had the ball.

Not to be unkind to Ali... on 18:35 - Nov 24 with 6075 views | franz_tyson | We've only won 1 game all season.... how do you know we'd have won that? Chappers could have won it for us( with Ali on the pitch) if he'd placed it in the other corner. Ali did OK ( but he's not PL standard).
Not to be unkind to Ali... on 18:46 - Nov 24 with 5826 views | J2BLUE | He's the new Ladapo in that he's a good player but he was signed to do a job at a level below where he now finds himself. And like Ladapo, i'm sure he will chip in with some big moments when called upon.

Not to be unkind to Ali... on 18:47 - Nov 24 with 5797 views | OldFart71 | You may have been right. But after being on top for most of the first half Utd seem to have better control second half. So I think we possibly need another three or four players to come in. Obviously that won't be this season. Maybe a couple in January. If we can survive then we can become a decent side in this league. We have proven in the last two games that we can mix it with the best. It's imperative though that we don't give goals away after a couple of minutes as not all teams will be as easy as Man Utd to get back into a game. It's all still very much a learning curve and we perhaps have to learn quicker than most with a decent, but not the strongest of squads. Injury has robbed us of a few players and Phillips has probably been the least effective of all that have come in.

I think post January transfer window and hopefully a fit squad (or as much as can be), you will see us even braver in those closing stages, much like we were in the last two years when we were winning 75-80% of those close encounters.

Don't disagree but there is a lot of points to play for between now and Jan window closing. We need to keep points ticking over and it's that much harder when we don't have Philips, Hirst, Johsnon, Greaves, Ogbene etc to call upon.

Not to be unkind to Ali... on 18:56 - Nov 24 with 5557 views | Len_Brennan | It's touch, movement & link play, Hirst would have been a far greaater threat, both in himself & how he connects with those around him (not going for the same ball as someone better placed). But Hirst is injured, so it is what it is.

"We didn't create too much after the subs other than the Chappers shot" Isn't that exactly the point? Tough to create without a viable striker on.

That's a bit of a reach but I guess you're just saying it for laughs Let's be honest Al-Hamadi was not signed to be playing at this level at this age. It's a completely different scenario to Drinnan

Not quite the same. Freddie had played the level we were trying to get too prior to joining and had scored 9 goals in it. Al hamadi has jumped 3 leagues in 9 months. With absolute respect there needs to be a line drawn against needs must. And I appreciate we don't have a striker back up. But forgetting his level differences he clearly isn't anywhere near fit let alone anywhere near the speed needed at this level. It's a wasted sub imo. The only slight on an overall positive display.

As per.... totally exaggerated view. Delap was spent, AAH offered something different. It's what we've got and it's worth a punt, not a wasted sub at all.
