Really does make me wonder what the club's strategy with all this is behind the scenes and how they see themselves getting out of this ...albeit the decision maker in all this I mean Really is a cluster fck The longer the silence goes on or at least until there is spoken comment and not just a poxy social media post from ITFC the thing will just snowball

Blue Action's statement and Nick Ames' article should be studied by all in the club's comms and off field management. Read and learn. Both, in their different ways, are good examples' of how to communicate - a fan statement and a balanced piece of journalism. Yesterday's evasive statements and today's silence have told us much about the lack of talent off the field in the club.

Being fans themselves, they obviously understand and 'get it', unlike those at the club calling the shots. Would love to see BA holding the club to account on this, coordinating resources and fan-power until we get a proper explanation from the club.

you only think its great comms because it says what you want to hear. perhaps the statement the club wants to make is that a national politician visited the club, the club has no political view, so nothing to see here. you may not like that message, but others will be fine with it. perhaps the club has said all that intends to say.

| Blue Action Communicating Better Than The Club on 13:44 - Mar 25 with 2546 views | CopfordBlue | I asked yesterday what people could reasonably have expected following the bland statement issued yesterday. I’ve just read it. Last couple of sentences absolutely nail it. Well done to BA and the author (s). The club could do a lot worse than ask to borrow the end of that statement and own it as their own. | |

He didn't just visit the club, he used our ground, badge and kit to push support for him and his party. There is perhaps a kernel of truth in the idea that the controversy is greater because it is Farage and not one of the other leaders but ultimately he is a more controversial person pushing more controversial ideas and so that is likely justified. Rightly or wrongly a lot of people take pride in our football club and its artefacts - that they are now linked to a person and political group that supports the idea of deporting members of that fanbase seems like at the very least a misstep by those in charge, you must agree?

He went on a stadium tour and he was filmed at all the points where other people on those tours are filmed. his pr people exploited the fact that the tour allows someone to do that. if it had been polanski doing the same there would have been absolute delight on here. to pretend otherwise is silly.

Yet their statement was undermined almost immediately by Reform saying they had evidence of an invitation. So, yes if they were trying to stop with their statement of last night when it was proven false within minutes that's not really an option. Well it is, but we just assume complicity by default.

they should publish their 'evidence' then. it is also matters who the invitation was from - there are many and varied people connected to the club and if politically sympathetic to him one might have invited him - say an ex player - it doesn't establish any link to the club admin.

What is it do you think people wanted to hear? The statement doesn't mention anything about Farage's views, or what BA think about Reform - it's a perfect non-political statement from a community who are all-in on ITFC and are disappointed that the club hasn't been clearer about an issue that has generated nationwide comment. Not even something along the lines that the club is absolutely not happy with they way they seemed to have been used for political purposes...

Putting my ITFC codpiece in the bin as we speak. On topic, very good statement from Blue Action.
