But what is the problem with being entertained for twenty minutes?

	Sometimes I think about the frothing lunatics I’ve put on ignore, who will have kept replying to me again and again, but I don’t even realise they exist.

I set a timer as the ref blew for half time. As I type, it's now 22 minutes into an interval the Laws of the Game state must not exceed 15 minutes and the BBC is showing adverts for its own productions to cover the clean up on the pitch.

Yeah entertained. We have a household demographic from 19 to 63. We all enjoyed that. Fat Ronaldo, the Muppets, Madonna etc. good fun . Better than listening to Gary Neville droning on.

The kids at the end signing about love was a nice touch. The kids in the Iranian school bombed by the host nation would have enjoyed that were they still alive.

Now football's rules are for sale to the highest bidder.

No doubt the S&C teams will have been all over it, but professionals whose bodies are used to a firm 15min break in a game have now had a double-length stoppage. The sort that, if it happened in the middle of a half, would require a warm-up before play restarts.

Why does it need to entertain everyone? It's a football match. Perhaps they can arrange for for a quick 10 minute 5-a-side match in the middle of strictly as apparently people can't just not watch something these days.

If you need entertaining at the expense of the players and the resumption of the biggest game in football then it's probably better to just going to a music concert and not bother with footie.

Just so unnecessary. Imagine having to wait 25 mins before playing again. Ridiculous. Already had hydration break.

There would still be queues in SBRL.

The argument I have against it is that it gave a team which had no intention of playing football an extra 12 minutes' recovery time, so they were fresher for the second half than would have been the case had they had only 15 minutes.
