TEAM: THREE CHANGES on 18:03 - Oct 27 with 1373 views | LankHenners | Bold, though no Wilson at all suggests one enforced CB change. Midfield looking lightweight and susceptible to bullying but could be interesting if we manage to grab control of the game.

Not really that strange, we are finally replacing a make shift centre back.

Indeed.. high risk but exciting.
TEAM: THREE CHANGES on 18:07 - Oct 27 with 1212 views | Nthsuffolkblue | Can't argue too much with that. A bit harsh on Wilson if he is available. Will be interesting to see what McGuinness is like at this level. Lankester as a 10 should be good to watch. Good to have Sears back in there too.

TEAM: THREE CHANGES on 18:08 - Oct 27 with 1210 views | SomethingBlue | A lot of "football" in that team but I do worry about what happens if Gills start winning the physical battle, and also when they throw a few men forward on the counter themselves. Hopefully we've enough guile to undo them.

Very happy attack attack attack Sears up front with Hawkins please
TEAM: THREE CHANGES on 18:09 - Oct 27 with 1170 views | Chrisd | Lankester to provide that link from midfield to Hawkins. There’s a huge opportunity for him, fingers crossed he grabs it

Are we expecting 4-2-3-1?
TEAM: THREE CHANGES on 18:09 - Oct 27 with 1140 views | pointofblue | So what’s the formation tonight? 4-2-3-1? Personnel needed to be changing but not so sure about the shape. I suppose Huws is on the bench if we do want to revert to 4-3-3. Feels like Lambingo all over again.

TEAM: THREE CHANGES on 18:10 - Oct 27 with 1130 views | Funge | I like that team a lot, but there's not too much muscle in midfield. That said, Nolan is about as intimidating as Angel Delight, and Huws hasn't taken hold of any game since we beat Newcastle (3.5 years ago, bloody hell), so I suppose it's worth a go.

My immediate reaction was that midfield has to be the most lightweight I’ve ever seen. None of them too great at sticking a tackle in.

No one available to be fair to do the dirty work. We need Downes back more than KVY and Jackson put together (no offence to either). [Post edited 27 Oct 2020 18:13]

I was assuming we were still going 4-3-3. However, I can see how it could easily be 4-4-2 with Sears alongside Hawkins. Perhaps there is a fluidity that allows for something between these and 4-4-1-1.

Bishop and Dozzell as a two will be even worse than Downes and Dozzell as a two. I can't see that. I'd have thought it will be Lankester on the right of the midfield triangle allowing Sears to switch with him off Hawkins.

Ogilvie is out at left back and it worked in the cup with Lankester and Dobra so I assume we are going to repeat the trick hoping to pull them out of shape.

My thoughts exactly. Let’s hope a) we keep the ball well and b) that Gillingham isn’t set up to bully us. But wouldn’t be surprised if that’s a 442 and we’re not quite as light in midfield as it looks. Anyway, really looking forward to seeing what they can do.

TEAM: THREE CHANGES on 18:50 - Oct 27 with 629 views | Steve_M | Hmmm, we're either going to win comfortably b a couple of goals or get bullied out of parts of the game - and then concede a sh1te goal on the break. COYFB.

TEAM: THREE CHANGES on 19:03 - Oct 27 with 554 views | JDB23 | Have to give some credit to Lambert there, he stuck with the team because they were winning but has made some big changes now which you think would suit our style of play better. Of course having 2 young CB's could backfire but I think it's worth a risk. Good to see Dobra on the bench too, hopefully he gets some minutes.
