He was very poor, for me, Jackson was chasing the ball down a lot more than Norwood was throughout the first half and got in behind in the second half.
He won't play on Saturday but the Norwood worship on here from some is ridiculous.
SB You worry about the contracts by OriginalMarkyP 15 Dec 2021 23:57I've got it bad???
You can't leave me alone.
Norwood will play on Saturday. From the bench potentially, but he may well start with Bonne. Jackson won't. You might not like it, but that is what is going to happen.
And BTW, you brought Norwood up not me.
Why do you initial all your posts?
We already know it's you. it's ok. we love you anyway. OMP

Stoke, stokie, stokie... on 17:58 - Dec 18 with 2566 views | Keaneish | You have taken a lot of flack on here about Norwood to be fair. He’s a big player for us whether folk like him or not. We know attitude is questionable but he’s a match winner and a real handful and the difference showed when he went off. Could be a big half season coming up for him. Thought he was excellent today and never gave the defence a minutes rest. McKenna would have liked that performance I’m sure so expect him to start at Gillingham.

He's a match winner who hasn't yet featured in a winning Town performance this season.

He's really not contributed enough and his exploits have not helped things off the field with colleagues and fans. He may well redeem himself there, but for me, it's hard to idolise someone who has the drink drive stuff hanging over him.

The bloke on commentary (I think David Connelly the ex striker) said that he was really poor. Poor movement, poor touch, linked nothing and that the new manager would need a hell of a lot more from him than he showed today. Not sure how fair that was because I did not see the game. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

99% of what he did today was beyond awful, but we're a team who can't buy a goal right now, so the 1% counts for a lot.

Completely unfair. Worked his socks off. Had lots of aggression and chased their defenders down. I was disappointed that he was subbed instead of Bonne tbh. Should have also put Pig on instead of Chaplin for his height as Sunderland had big defenders. [Post edited 18 Dec 2021 18:42]

I'm not. But SB seems to like smashing me everytime. I didn't even bring Norwood up in that POST. He DID. SB likes putting people in their place and dishing it out. That's fine, it's the Internet. so But when he does it to me I will remind him when he's got it wrong. I don't like Norwood as person particularly, but while he's our player and he offers something others don't, I'll want him to play. Simple.

He also lost his head completely unnecessarily and could have been on for a red later, which is why I'm sure he was taken off.

That’s what you get with him. All part of the package. Personal and off field issues aside, we need more nastiness in this team.

True. Tbh I'm still not convinced by Norwood at all, to say the least. He's a liability. Morsy was an absolute beast today - that's what we need more of, not more giving refs and earful and trying to start pointless fights. He was immense.

but we need a player who can last 90 minutes (fitness and discipline-wise), otherwise he's a sub at best

Yes Morsy really stood out today and did a lot of hard work in the middle.

I think that role in a proper DMC position behind the midfield two suited him a lot better today. He read the game well.

Agree. I quite like seeing that edge from Norwood, and it’s all part of the package, I don’t think there can be any doubt he is a handful at this level. I like seeing it from Morsy as well, Bonne has a bit of edge in his game as well. We need that in the side, it has to be there.
Stoke, stokie, stokie... on 19:49 - Dec 18 with 1693 views | StokieBlue | Firstly, as a point of order, I don't believe I've ever called you out, I have only responded to the copious postings with which you litter the board. As for Norwood today, it was a nice header at the end of a good move involving Morsy and Bonne. Aside from that I didn't think he played particularly well, no better than Bonne and he also managed to get himself in a scuffle about something that had absolutely nothing to do with him. On another day that could have gone differently. His link up play was virtually non-existent today in my opinion. Now there could be an argument made that all you want from your striker is goals and in that case he could well be your man but I'm not sure it's justifying your gloating attitude over the last week. You'd think he was Messi from your posts. SB
