Clarke or Williams for rhe derby? 13:27 - Dec 10 with 4558 views | cbower | I know we have Watford on Tuesday and there might be changes and I'm jumping ahead but it's an intriguing choice. Williams was certainly the man in possession a handful of games ago but his illness / injury & suspension has seen Harry Clarke do fairly well over a run of matches. Both will be pumped for the game - Clarke as he is an Ipswich boy and Williams after a bit of an acrimonious loan spell with the Canaries. Williams also seems prone to some rash tackles at times and I'm a bit concerned the intensity of the atmosphere may see him sent off. He offers us more going forward than Clarke but if he's not on the pitch after seeing red, that won’t matter. Harry too can be a bit rash and sometimes his defensive positioning can be ropey. Both are good players though. It's a very trcky choice if both are fit and available.

Clarke or Williams for rhe derby? on 13:43 - Dec 10 with 4464 views | SomethingBlue | First up and most importantly right now I'd have Williams on Tuesday night – Watford are rapid down the sides and we'll need top quality at the back. For the derby, let's just see who is in form. Clarke is doing well right now, it's a nice decision to have. [Post edited 10 Dec 2023 13:45]

I'd have Clarke starting as i disagree regarding attributes. I think Williams is a better defender, Clarke is slightly stronger going forward but often caught out defensively. I'd then bring Williams in for Leeds and Leicester.

Williams has more of a footballing brain than Clarke, who is caught inside far too often, but is also slightly more emotional. As said, I do fear a raking challenge timed wrong will see him sent off. If Norwich are known for their width, play Williams. If not, play Clarke.

I meant more common sense brain. Look at his Instagram post for example. Excellent footballer at this level, personally don’t trust him in that fixture

Clarke or Williams for rhe derby? on 17:12 - Dec 10 with 3862 views | BLUEBEAT | I assume a big part of the N*rwich plan will be to wind-up the likes of Clarke/Williams. Morsy and Woolfenden too. Sad how we don’t even think about Donacien these days.

I found it interesting how McKenna was speaking about Donacien's return from injury and how he will have an important part to play over busy festive period etc and that he would be assessed as to whether fit to return to match squad. Really sounded like he was expecting to Donacien to play games this month. I'm not sure I see how he plays if not an injury but can't imagine McKenna would have worded how he didn't if he doesn't make some squads.

Clarke or Williams for rhe derby? on 19:10 - Dec 10 with 3532 views | MK1 | Has to be Williams, just because of his history with them up the road. Clarke has been great and would have no problem with either, just want to see Williams kicking a few of them up in the air. We win regardless.

Decision to be made thereafter for Norwich but given Clarke is one of our own and we own him, and he’s played well these last few games, I’ll give him the nod. Then play Williams at Leeds.

Clarke or Williams for rhe derby? on 19:50 - Dec 10 with 3338 views | ghostofescobar | My worry is that the emotion, of both the game and Williams history with Nodge, means there’s a red card lurking for young Brandon. I prefer Brandon, but maybe Harry for this one. Maybe………oh I don’t fvcking know. Oh yes, and Brandon can’t be match fit.

Norwich are NOT known for their width, they're known for their trophy dodging and custom gloves.

Clarke or Williams for rhe derby? on 20:56 - Dec 10 with 3205 views | BigCommon | Give Williams 75 plus minutes against Watford to get some fitness back into his legs. See how he performs. If he looks strong, then I'd start him against Norwich... Don't mind either of them starting the derby, tbh. Both a bit fiery.. But, imo, Leif, Morsy, Wes, Chappers and Hirst are no shrinking violets , either. I'm sure the conversation will be had , about staying disciplined, calm and just playing our usual game. Try and frustrate the oppo' by outplaying them.
Clarke or Williams for rhe derby? on 23:16 - Dec 10 with 3032 views | Bugs | Clarke for me. But if Williams starts, I really wouldn't be bothered. I Iike them both and think we will win with either of them starting.
Clarke or Williams for rhe derby? on 23:55 - Dec 10 with 2974 views | Cheltenham_Blue | Williams against that lot would be a man on a mission and likely to be booked early on. I'd start with Clarke, he hates them as much as any one of us.

Clarke or Williams for rhe derby? on 11:02 - Dec 11 with 2573 views | JammyDodgerrr | All this questioning about Williams getting caught up in the atmosphere is odd to me. If he's fit, he's miles ahead of Clarke and should play and we should trust that McKenna will keep them all level. We are miles ahead of them and should play them off the pitch at PR, and there will be no "atmosphere" for them to bring or for us to fall into, anyway.
